Crystal Palace v Aston Villa (19:30 GMT)

Crystal Palace have six victories and four draws in their 13 away games but have only won twice at Selhurst Park.

Asked why they have failed to replicate their away form at home, boss Oliver Glasner added: "We would lead the league table if we also win every game at home. It is the Premier League. Every game is decided by two or three chances."

  2. 'This game is massive for both teams'published at 18:57 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Brighton v Bournemouth (19:30 GMT)

    Chris Sutton
    Premier League winner with Blackburn

With a couple of wins, Brighton have put themselves back in a position where they have got a real chance of making the top five - so this game is massive for both teams.

Bournemouth had Illia Zabarnyi sent off early on in Saturday's defeat by Wolves, and that really disrupted them. They need to find their feet again quickly, because I don't think anyone saw that result coming.

I am pretty sure the readers will go for a 1-1 draw here and, although I'd like to pick a winner, I also think it will end up honours even.

    Sutton's prediction: 1-1

Am I right in saying that if Tottenham or ManU win the Europa League, that they will qualify for the Champions league? If Forest, Bournemouth or Newcastle finish fifth then they will miss out as Spurs and Utd have a higher Uefa coefficient or would we have six places in the Champions League?

    Brian

There would be six English teams in next season's Champions League if Tottenham or Manchester United won the Europa League (and finished outside the top five) and the Premier League was given one of the two additional spots.

Italy almost got six places in this year's Champions League after they got one of the additional places and Atalanta won the Europa League. However, Atalanta finished fourth, meaning Italy only had five sides and not six. If Atalanta had finished any lower, six Serie A sides would have been in the 2024-25 Champions League.

  4. 'A very, very demanding game'published at 18:46 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Brighton v Bournemouth (19:30 GMT)

    Bournemouth

Sixth-placed Bournemouth are just a point off the Champions League spots, while Brighton are three positions and three points further back.

Boss Andoni Iraola regards Fabian Hurzeler’s Seagulls as one of the division’s top sides and is braced for a “very, very demanding game” as the battle for European qualification intensifies.

“For me, Brighton are one of the best teams of the league, I have no doubts,” he said. “They have a very good squad, not only the starting 11, they have options in every position.

“I think they will be fighting for the European places until the end. It’s a very, very demanding game.”

  5. 'We have to keep the standards we've had'published at 18:41 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Brighton v Bournemouth (19:30 GMT)

    Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton have won six of their past eight matches, having gone eight games without a win.

Boss Fabian Hurzeler said: "When you win games, there's always a good environment and a good atmosphere. We're grateful it's like this, but it's hard work. We have to keep the momentum and understand why we have this momentum."

On his side's position in the race for European qualification: "I never look that much at the table. We can only influence our games and how we play. At the end of the season we can look at the table - at the moment it's game by game to get the best performance out of the players."

On Bournemouth: "They play very intensely. It will be a challenge for us to compete against them. We have to be mentally and physically at the highest level to be ready for them.

"But I think we are able to do it because we proved in past weeks that we can run a lot and fight a lot. We have to keep the standards we've had in the past weeks and we have to improve to be ready for the challenge."

  11. Who gets in Europe?published at 18:26 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

There will be at least seven English teams playing in Europe next season, although that figure could rise to 11. However, that latter scenario is unlikely and would require Premier League sides winning every European competition in 2024-25 with certain teams finishing outside the top five.

Normally the top four go into the Champions League, with the fifth-placed side going into the Europa League. However, the Premier League is currently on course to earn one of two extra Champions League spots, meaning a top-five finish would be enough.

But if English sides win both the Champions League and Europa League (and they do not finish in the top five) that could mean seven Premier League teams would be in Europe's top club competition.

In normal circumstances, two English sides will be in the Europa League, but that will rise to three if Chelsea win the Conference League (and finish outside the top five), with another team from England then going into the Conference League.

So, for arguments sake, let's say no English team wins a European competition, but the Premier League gets an additional Champions League spot.

Then, as it stands, this is who would be playing in Europe next season.

Champions League: 1. Liverpool, 2. Arsenal, 3. Nottingham Forest, 4. Manchester City, 5. Newcastle.

Europa League: 6. Bournemouth, 7. Chelsea.

    Conference League: 8. Aston Villa.

(If a team from outside the top seven wins the FA Cup, they would go into the Europa League, Chelsea would drop into the Conference League with Aston Villa missing out).
