Chelsea are playing the ball around deep in the Southampton box as they look to work space for a fourth goal. Very flat at Stamford Bridge as they do so.

Regardless of all the missed chances, Cole Palmer needs to come off. It's 3-0 and he needs a rest

Tyrique George is played in on the right of the box but he hammers his effort over the top. Cole Palmer wanted it squared for a tap in but the teenager only had eyes for one thing.

It has been really flat here. There was a big, big opportunity for Pedro Neto. He tried to bring the ball down in the box and his touch was really poor, tried a bit of trickery and it didn't come off.

In the end he ends up kicking it out for a goal kick. And that's about it.

Ryan Manning's free-kick into the box is met by the head of Armel Bella-Kotchap but he couldn't get over his header and it sails over the top.

  9. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21:41 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Chelsea 3-0 Southampton

Time for Southampton to have a bit of the ball and they attempt to breach this Chelsea defence. Moises Caicedo is shown a yellow card for a luging challenge on Mateus Fernandes.

Don't really know why you're complaining about that one, Moises.

A lot of criticism for Emery this evening but Glasner deserves so much credit for the job he's doing at Palace, genuinely good man quietly and calmly doing his job really well.

Joe Aribo is set free down the left wing but his cross into the box is pretty poor and Chelsea win a goal kick. The life has well and truly been sucked out of this Southampton side.

Re Christopher at 21.30- Southampton won't struggle in the Championship next year, they'll come straight back up. That's the problem.

  14. This has not been Palmer's daypublished at 21:35 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

Cole Palmer is laughing after blazing over his latest chance.

The 22-year-old has been a sensation since joining Chelsea but his expression is one of a player who knows this has not been his day.

The majority of Chelsea's chances have fallen at his feet and he has missed three good chances and two half-chances.

That hasn't shaken any of the support around him as almost the entire bench were up applauding his effort, whether substitutes or coaching staff, and the Matthew Harding End are singing his "Palmer again" song - which references his relentless finishing ability.

On a day where the supporters were protesting, they remain united behind one figure at this club.

Another home win for the Seagulls. If only the draws/losses against bottom of the league teams had been wins, then Brighton would be up in the Champions League places.

Fulham could have won that 1-4 and it would have been fair, they looked vastly the better side.
