Oops, you definitely didn't see me get the score wrong on that kick-off post.

Everton start the half off well as Jesper Lindstrom gallops down the right and wins his side a corner.

  2. Any improvement from Man Utd?published at 13:39 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February

The United players were out early but there didn't seem to be much more energy about them.

Casemiro was standing near the centre circle with his hands on his hips, while Andre Onana had a chat with Joshua Zirkzee.

Might have been better for Bruno Fernandes to rouse them up a little.

Let's see if there is any improvement in the second half.

Man Utd have been so poor. Passive - in all actions of the game.

  6. United players look lostpublished at 13:33 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February

    HT: Everton 2-0 Man Utd

    Shamoon Hafez
BBC Sport football news reporter at Goodison Park

Everton are swarming all over United and they fully deserve their two-goal lead.

The Red Devils are all over the place and some of their players look lost out there - Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund in particular, who have offered very little in the final third.

A big team talk for Ruben Amorim to give at half-time.

  7. 'Zero conviction'published at 13:31 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February

    Rio Ferdinand
Former Man Utd defender on TNT Sports

Manchester United needed to roll their sleeves up and meet this Everton team and United have not done that.

The amount of times they had to clear the ball - zero conviction.

Anyone comfortable in giving Amorim a war chest of money to rebuild this side? I'm not.

If you want to know how bad things are at the heart of Utd, just look at the way Rashford has started at Villa. Was unselectably awful at Utd but has looked almost immediately back to the player he was at Villa. Speaks of a terrible culture at Utd.

Former Everton and Scotland forward on BBC Radio 5 Live

I've got no clue what Ruben Amorim says at half time. United were so flat with the ball and without the ball. No energy, no urgency, a team really lacking in confidence. It doesn't look like they have anything in them to turn it around.

    Thanks for the message, Chris.

Good points, but didn't Manchester United fans complain about Erik ten Hag, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Jose Mourinho being too pragmatic and not having a system?

The general consensus may be that this is on the players not the manager, but he’s not immune from criticism. Yes he has his system, but the players clearly aren’t suited to it. And he seems incapable of adjusting to accommodate that, until he gets the players he wants. Any top manager is capable of adapting, not Amorim though it seems.

Almost 3-0! The ball ricochets nicely for Abdoulaye Doucoure and the forward's cross is only just intercepted by Noussair Mazraoui under his own crossbar with Beto just behind him expecting a tap-in.

It's not as simple as an either/or for where fault lies. The club is rotten to the core and that means both manager and players are weighed down. When every new manager feels the need to have their own players in place it shows a clear lack of strategy.

As it stands, and I know this is tempting fate, Everton are closer to the Champions League qualification than they are to relegation. Yet it was viewed by so many as a bad decision to sack Dyche if we wanted to stay up. In Moyes We Trust.
