Swansea boss Alan Sheehan names the same starting XI that played in the 1-0 win over Sheffield United last Saturday. New signing Marko Stamenic is named on the bench while Wales midfielder Ollie Cooper misses out after Sheehan suggested he could leave the club in this transfer window if he wants regular football.

Watford are without Imran Louza who is suspended after his red card against QPR. Manchester City loanee Max Alleyne comes into the starting line-up for the first time in the league.

Nathan Jones has made one change to the Addicks XI which drew 0-0 at Bristol City last Saturday, but it’s a big one.

Charlie Kelman drops to the bench with Miles Leaburn handed a start up top after cameos of the bench in Charlton’s first two league games.

Marti Cifuentes has rung the changes after Leicester’s 2-1 defeat at Preston a week ago.

Hamza Choudhary comes in to skipper the side with Oliver Skipp coming in and 17-year-old Louis Page and academy sensation Jeremy Monga handed their first league starts, Monga having only turned 16 last month.

James Justin, Stephy Mavididi and Bilal El Khannouss miss out after coming off at Deepdale, while Harry Winks drops to the bench.

    FT: Derby 1-1 Bristol City

Carlton Morris celebratesImage source, Rex Features

The EFL weekend began with a bang on Friday as Derby left it late to pick up their first points of the season, leaving unbeaten Bristol City wondering how they aren't top this morning.

Scott Twine stroked home a first-half opener as the Robins bossed the game, but they couldn't put the Rams away and Carlton Morris popped up to fire in a loose ball on 86 minutes after the hosts' first shot on target of the match.

  9. Kjerrumgaard to continue where he left off?published at 12:15 British Summer Time 23 August

Watford in 15th travel to the Swansea.com Stadium to face 14th in the table Swansea City.

Swansea picked up their first win of the Championship season last time out in a 1-0 home win over Sheffield United.

Head coach Alan Sheehan said after the game that he was “pleased and only critical about not being more clinical and putting the game to bed.” Will that be the case again today, though?

The Swans do boast good home form having won six of their past eight home league games (D1 L1), while since Sheehan’s first league game in charge of the side back in February, no current Championship side has accrued more points than them (27).

Just like today’s opponents, Watford have lost one and won one going into this and will be looking to get their first away league win this season.

The Hornets need to improve their form on the road though having lost each of their previous six away league games.

They’ll be hoping on loan summer signing Luca Kjerrumgaard continues where he left off last time out having netting a brace to guide Paulo Pezzolano to his first win as head coach after a 2-1 win against QPR last Saturday.

You'd imagine it's felt like a long seven days for Blackburn Rovers players and fans.

Going into the final minute of last week's home game against Birmingham City Rovers were a goal to the good and on course for their first win of the season after defeats by West Brom in the Carabao Cup.

Ten helter-skelter minutes later and they found themselves still pointless after Blues' late, late show.

Meanwhile, opponents Hull City came out on the right side of some last minute drama last week, as Oli McBurnie's goal gave them a 3-2 win over Oxford United.

In their 1,000th home match in the second tier Charlton’s unbeaten home record in 2025 is set to be tested by Leicester– a side who played two divisions above the Addicks last season.

Athletic have a remarkable record against the Foxes, taking 22 points from their past 11 encounters, losing one of the past eight encounters at The Valley, and won this fixture 2-1 the last time they met in the Championship in 2013 - though of course the Foxes have won the Premier League, FA Cup and Community Shield since these two last met.

Nathan Jones’ men are unbeaten after seeing off Watford and then drawing at Bristol City and, along with Middlesbrough are one of two teams yet to concede a goal.

If they make that three today it will be the first time the club have done so since 1998 in the Premier League

Marti Cifuentes’ side left it late to beat Sheffield Wednesday before suffering a late defeat of their own against Preston last time out which extended their winless away run to nine matches - their worst run on the road in eight years.
