    The Sky Blues are flying.

It's horror stuff at the back from QPR. Jimmy Dunne plays a back pass to his keeper but plays it to Jack Rudoni instead and he finds Brandon Thomas-Asante who hammers it home.

    Work to do for QPR.

  3. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 15:25 British Summer Time 23 August

    Southampton 0-0 Stoke

Bad news for Southampton as Wellington has been taken off on a stretcher, to be replaced by Ryan Manning, the hero of the opening day against Wrexham, at left-back.

  4. 'Chants of defiance from away end'published at 15:23 British Summer Time 23 August

    Wrexham 1-0 Sheff Wed

    Chris Wathan
BBC Sport Wales at Stok Cae Ras

If you want an idea of how things are at Wednesday right now, it's the reaction of the away end to Wrexham's opener.

Rather than anger at conceding early for a second week in a row, there was just a chant of defiance as the black and gold balloons floated skywards.

To be fair, the visitors haven't been outplayed here but Moore made the most of that set-piece chance. If the Wales striker had met Ryan Longman's cross with a slightly better angle a few minutes later, it might well have been two.

Then you wonder what the Owls' reaction would have been.

  5. CLOSE!published at 15:23 British Summer Time 23 August

    Preston 1-0 Ipswich

Ipswich have responded positively after going behind early on and Ben Johnson has fizzed an effort narrowly wide of Daniel Iverson's upright.

  6. Postpublished at 15:23 British Summer Time 23 August

    West Brom 0-0 Portsmouth

The away side carve out the first big chance of this match.

Adrian Segecic feeds Florian Bianchini but Josh Griffiths in the Baggies goal is equal to his effort.

  7. CLOSE!published at 15:22 British Summer Time 23 August

    Norwich 0-0 Middlesbrough

The Canaries have found their feet.

Jacob Wright produces an inviting cross from out wide which Josh Sargent meets with a firm header, but puts it the wrong side of Sol Brynn's post, from a City perspective.

  8. Postpublished at 15:22 British Summer Time 23 August

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Millwall

Camiel Neghli hits a shot wide of the target for the away side.

It's been pretty even at Bramall Lane so far but it's the visiting team who have got more shots away.

  9. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:22 British Summer Time 23 August

    Birmingham 0-0 Oxford

    A good chance for Oxford.

Cameron Brannagan tries one from range but Ryan Allsop gets down to his left to make the save.

It's been a lively start to this one with both sides creating.

    More of the same please.

  10. CLOSE!published at 15:20 British Summer Time 23 August

    Norwich 0-0 Middlesbrough

Great block from Boro defender Dael Fry to deny Jack Stacey after the Canaries man was played through neatly by Ante Crnac.

Stacey almost has another chance a moment later, being denied by keeper Sol Brynn as he tried to round him, but the flag had already gone up.

  11. Postpublished at 15:20 British Summer Time 23 August

    Wrexham 1-0 Sheff Wed

The home side push for a quickfire second.

Ryan Longman sends in a tempting cross that Kieffer Moore heads over the crossbar.

  12. 'Robins will be delighted'published at 15:20 British Summer Time 23 August

    Southampton 0-0 Stoke

    Andy Quy
    BBC Radio Stoke summariser

Mark Robins will be delighted, it's been a really positive start.

We've defended well and we've looked really positive going forward.

  13. Postpublished at 15:19 British Summer Time 23 August

    Birmingham 0-0 Oxford

Willum Willumsson plays in Kyogo Furuhashi who goes one on one with the keeper and he has to score but he puts it wide.

A good chance for Birmingham to take the lead there.

  14. CLOSE!published at 15:16 British Summer Time 23 August

    Southampton 0-0 Stoke

Another glimpse of goal for Saints forward Adam Armstrong but another effort into the side netting after Ben Wilmot made a bit of a meal of cutting out a cross from the right flank.

  15. goal

GOAL: Wrexham 1-0 Sheff Wedpublished at 15:16 British Summer Time 23 August

    Kieffer Moore (16 mins)

The home side take the lead through an ex-Sheffield United man!

Wales international Kieffer Moore has his first goal for Wrexham since joining from Wednesday's cross-city rivals in the summer.

He reacts quickest to a loose ball in the area after a set piece and the hosts are in front.

  16. 'Boro looking comfortable in possession'published at 15:13 British Summer Time 23 August

There's a coolness in the way we're playing, I feel comfortable when we're on the ball.

Finn Azaz is picking the ball up in pockets, I like the way he's growing into the game.

  17. goal

GOAL: Coventry 1-0 QPRpublished at 15:12 British Summer Time 23 August

    Haji Wright (12 mins)

Haji Wright celebrates for CoventryImage source, Rex Features

A great start for the Sky Blues.

Milan van Ewijk squares it into the box for Haji Wright drills it low and hard first time past Joe Walsh.

  18. goal

GOAL: Preston 1-0 Ipswichpublished at 15:12 British Summer Time 23 August

    Milutin Osmajic (11 mins, pen)

Milutin Osmajic celebrates for PrestonImage source, Rex Features

    Preston are at it again...

It's three in three for Milutin Osmajic who fires home from the penalty spot, sending Alex Palmer the wrong way, after being brought down by Jacob Greaves in the box himself.

  19. Postpublished at 15:11 British Summer Time 23 August

    Birmingham 0-0 Oxford

Birmingham have a decent opportunity as Paik Seung-Ho hits one but his dragged effort falls to Kyogo Furuhashi but he puts it wide. I don't think he expected that to be fair.

Incidentally Blues' loan signing from Wolves Tommy Doyle is on the bench again. He's yet to start in the league for Blues.

Oxford also create a chance as Tyler Goodrham's curled effort goes just wide of Ryan Allsop's post.

  20. CLOSE!published at 15:11 British Summer Time 23 August

    Southampton 0-0 Stoke

    Blistering start at St Mary's.

It's Saints on the march again as Wellington's cross is met by the head of Shea Charles, only for his effort to deflect past the post off teammate Jay Robinson.
