That's either a penalty or a booking. There is no other answer.

It's a tough one. Darwin Nunez drags his leg and hopes for it, but as a defender you can't put your foot in there.

  2. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 20:39 British Summer Time 23 October

    RB Leipzig 0-1 Liverpool

Liverpool want a penalty. Darwin Nunez cannot believe it. The replay shows there's contact but VAR decided after about 15 seconds that it wasn't a foul.

    Strange one, that.

  3. Feyenoord score anotherpublished at 20:38 British Summer Time 23 October

    Benfica 0-2 Feyenoord

Feyenoord double their lead in Lisbon through Antoni Milambo's crisp finish after nutmegging a defender.

Moments earlier Benfica had gone close to a leveller but Fredrik Aursnes headed Angel Di Maria's cross against the post.

  4. Postpublished at 20:38 British Summer Time 23 October

    Man City 1-0 Sparta Prague

Rico Lewis has been everywhere so far. His deft little pass finds Savinho and the Brazilian takes a super first touch, drifts inside and shoots with his left foot but his effort is dragged just wide.

He shakes his head in disappointment, he thinks that should've found the bottom corner.

  5. Postpublished at 20:37 British Summer Time 23 October

    RB Leipzig 0-1 Liverpool

Trent Alexander-Arnold finds himself on the edge of the box so he fakes to go right and lets one fly with his left. Liverpool are smelling blood here.

The corner lands on the head of Virgil van Dijk and it's a great save by Peter Gulacsi.

Such a good goalkeeper Ortega - reminds me of Ray Clemence so sharp despite prolonged inactivity.

    Man City 1-0 Sparta Prague

Manchester City lose the ball in their defensive third and Sparta Prague once again look to get on the counter attack.

They have enjoyed a bit more sustained possession in the last five minutes or so.

Nunez gets a lot of stick for his finishing but he tucked that one away nicely!

  9. 'A magnificent save'published at 20:34 British Summer Time 23 October

It's Liverpool Football Club out there now.

Beforehand I was shocked with their passing, there was no zip to their play. Liverpool look back to their best.

I feel sorry for Nunez as he done everything right, it was a magnificent save from Gulacsi

It's been City who have had possession of course.

But there's enough there [for Prague].

They'll fancy themselves, just getting behind the City defence and creating something.

  11. Postpublished at 20:33 British Summer Time 23 October

    RB Leipzig 0-1 Liverpool

Darwin Nunez has a real taste for it now. It's a great ball in by Cody Gakpo with the outside of his boot and Nunez got up like a salmon to head goalwards. Fine save from Peter Gulacsi.

Yeeeees! Nuuuuuuuuuunez! Hope Slot can finally help Darwin find his scoring boots. Lord knows he tries.

    RB Leipzig 0-1 Liverpool

With Diogo Jota injured, Darwin Nunez knows this is his chance to cement a place in the starting XI and he couldn't really be doing much more than he is right now. That goal will fill him with confidence.

  14. Postpublished at 20:30 British Summer Time 23 October

    Man City 1-0 Sparta Prague

    Glenn Hoddle
Former England and Tottenham manager on TNT Sports

If it goes in the top corner, we're talking about that for seasons!

I think Rico Lewis just does enough.

They're just getting a little bit of confidence.

  15. 'The best move of the game'published at 20:30 British Summer Time 23 October

    RB Leipzig 0-1 Liverpool

    Pat Nevin
Former Everton winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

That goal being chalked off is what lifted Liverpool. This move is the best move of the game.

Mo Salah has done the perfect thing, he is aiming for the back post and I do think it's a pass with his head.

  16. Liverpool lucky to be level, let alone aheadpublished at 20:30 British Summer Time 23 October

    RB Leipzig 0-1 Liverpool

    Stephen Warnock
Former Liverpool defender on MOTD: UEFA Champions League

That goal is as against the run of play as you can get.

I was just thinking that Liverpool are very lucky to still be level, let alone ahead. Their passing has been poor and they are still too easy to play through - then they scored out of almost nothing.

You can hear more from Warnock on MOTD: Uefa Champions League at 22:40 BST on BBC One and the BBC Sport website and app.

  17. Postpublished at 20:29 British Summer Time 23 October

    Man City 1-0 Sparta Prague

Sparta Prague have had a couple of opportunities on the counter attack and are now looking a bit more confident on the ball.

The cross comes in from the right and Lukas Haraslin goes for the acrobatic overhead kick but can't get it on target.

  18. Postpublished at 20:28 British Summer Time 23 October

    Man City 1-0 Sparta Prague

    Glenn Hoddle
Former England and Tottenham manager on TNT Sports

Clever play. It's from the corner! Suddenly Prague just break.

It's a good save from Ortega. Just gets his finger to it.

All night, that's the thing, City have got to stay concentrated.

  19. Postpublished at 20:28 British Summer Time 23 October

    Man City 1-0 Sparta Prague

Manchester City have another corner and again it comes to Erling Haaland, who tries to head it down across goal but it's picked up by Sparta Prague and they are able to get on the counter attack again.

Veljko Birmancevic sprints down the right and aims a low drive towards the bottom corner and Stefan Ortega gets a fingertip save to it to prevent it tucking into the net.

Bit of a warning sign for City.

  20. goal

    Darwin Nunez (20 mins)

Football is a funny old game, isn't it? RB Leipzig have a stunner ruled out and then Liverpool go up the other end and make it 1-0. Typical.

Mohamed Salah directs a brilliant header towards the far post and Darwin Nunez, in fine striking fashion, nips in to tap home.
