It was a great move again and finally there was somebody at the end of the cross to finish it.

It was a great leap.

Rams sub Tawanda Chirewa shifts the ball left on the edge of the Albion box and has a powerful dig, which Alex Palmer parries unconvincingly as he topples to his left.

Albion are able to clear the rebound, he'll be glad to see.

Credit to Derby, they have probably had less of the ball but done much more with it than the Baggies, who have still had just one shot on target.

Mason Holgate looked for all the world as if he'd be coming off before the break with a knock. He stayed on, played through the discomfort, and scored a potentially crucial own goal before going down again. Merry Christmas, Mason.

He is finally withdrawn with Callum Styles replacing him.

Kayden Jackson is not only off the pitch he's also off the scoresheet - it is officially a Mason Holgate own goal which has doubled Derby's advantage.

If ever we needed that second goal it is now.

West Brom were trying to play out, but it falls to (Kayden) Jackson and he strikes it well, it takes a deflection so could be an own goal off Mason Holgate, it has come off his knee I think.

Jackson may well be disappointed, he claimed it, he thought it was his.

And still they come...

Darnell Furlong is in the right place at the right time as the ball breaks to him in the Derby box but he opts to go with his favoured right foot, poking a rising effort over the bar with the outside of his toe, when a left-foot curler into the bottom corner was the wiser choice.

Mikey Johnston sees a shot charged down after another mazy run but the ball breaks to Alex Mowatt, 25 yards out, who sees a curling effort pushed away acrobatically by flying Swede Jacob Widell Zetterstrom... one for the cameras, as they used to say.

The next goal does not look like it is coming from Derby at the moment, they have got to get a grip, get a hold of the ball.

They have had a really good start to this second half have West Brom.

It is all one way at the moment, West Brom in total control here.

I would guess possession would be about 70/30 in West Brom's favour so far in this half.

Derby have spent nearly 20 minutes chasing the ball.

Tom Fellows has been a magnet for the ball on the Albion right of late but his latest attempt to skip inside is ended by Nat Phillips with a well-timed challenge... he gets a whack from Fellows' follow-through for his trouble too. Rams free-kick.

West Brom popping it about with aplomb in the past few minutes but Derby have all hands to the pump on the edge of their own box, including Ebou Adams who has come up with a couple of timely interceptions, much to the delight of the home fans who boo his name... in a nice way.
