Saka's absence on the right wing is so clear tonight, his pace & timing is world-class. Arsenal are a better team when he's fit as he's able to make things happen.

This is a real concern for Arsenal. All the talk of the big game at the weekend.

The way Riccardo Calafiori goes down, it looks like he opened his right knee. This is a major blow.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:27 British Summer Time

    Arsenal 1-0 Shakhtar Donetsk

Riccardo Calafiori is going to have to come off. He attempted to continue but he's in some bother and 18-year-old midfielder Myles Lewis-Skelly is going to replace him.

It'll never happen, but I'd like to see Morgan Rogers in the next England team in place of Jude Bellingham.

Aston Villa's Jhon Duran celebrates scoringImage source, PA Media

Jhon Duran's last action is to score as Ollie Watkins was already stripped and waiting to replace him.

It was a neat finish but Bologna were stretched and defender Jhon Lucumi was too weak.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:26 British Summer Time

    Aston Villa 2-0 Bologna

And that is it for Jhon Duran. He is replaced by Ollie Watkins and Duran doesn't look happy at having to go off.

Jacob Ramsey is also on for Leon Bailey.

  8. 'A pure goalscorer's goal from Duran'published at 21:26 British Summer Time

    Aston Villa 2-0 Bologna

    Ally McCoist
Former Rangers striker on TNT Sports

That is a pure goalscorer's goal from Jhon Duran, absolutely excellent. He does so well to get in front of the defender when the cross comes in, shows great strength to hold off Jhon Lucumi, and gets a strong enough touch on it to direct it into the corner.

  9. Postpublished at 21:26 British Summer Time

    Arsenal 1-0 Shakhtar Donetsk

    Alex Howell
BBC football news reporter at the Emirates Stadium

It's a very clear plan for Shakhtar for the last part of this match. They have three very quick forwards on and are trying to get the ball forward quickly whenever they can.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:25 British Summer Time

    Arsenal 1-0 Shakhtar Donetsk

Raheem Sterling is coming on for Gabriel Jesus. The Brazilian has had his chances this evening but not put them away.

It looks like Riccardo Calafiori is going to continue.

  11. 'Doesn't look good for Calafiori'published at 21:24 British Summer Time

    Arsenal 1-0 Shakhtar Donetsk

    Chris Sutton
Ex-Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

I'm not a medical expert but that doesn't look good for Riccardo Calafiori.

His right knee, he is put off balance and slips. Then it's awkward the way he goes down. He tweaks his right knee.

  12. Postpublished at 21:24 British Summer Time

    Arsenal 1-0 Shakhtar Donetsk

It's all a bit sloppy from Arsenal.

Riccardo Calafiori is caught on the ball 20-yards out but the Shakhtar counter is slow and they fail to take advantage.

It looks like the Italian may have done some damage in the process of having his pocket picked and he requires some treatment.

  13. goal

    It's Jhon Duran again!

On the bench or from the start, Duran just scores goals and this is a lovely finish as he sticks out a boot to hook in a cross.

Villa are on the way to another Champions League victory,

And just like that Real Madrid are level. Luka Modric feeds Kylian Mbappe, he turns into space and the ball is played across goal for Vinicius Junior for an easy tap-in!

It had been coming! Real Madrid finally get a goal back through an Antonio Rudiger towering header.

  16. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:20 British Summer Time

    Arsenal 1-0 Shakhtar Donetsk

Shakhtar are sending on some fresh legs. Oleksandr Zubkov and Danylo Sikan make for Brazilian pair Pedrinho and Kevin.

  17. Postpublished at 21:19 British Summer Time

    Arsenal 1-0 Shakhtar Donetsk

Arsenal are giving Shakhtar a glimmer of hope here. Gabriel Martinelli's block earns the visitors a corner but Oleksandr Zubkov's delivery is cleared away.

  18. Postpublished at 21:19 British Summer Time

    Aston Villa 1-0 Bologna

Fantastic driving run by Morgan Rogers. He charges through the middle and for a moment looks to be going all the way but eventually has to pass to Jhon Duran. It gives Bologna that bit of time they needed to get their defence in shape.

  19. 'Arsenal are retreating'published at 21:19 British Summer Time

  20. 'Great delivery from McGinn'published at 21:17 British Summer Time

    Aston Villa 1-0 Bologna

    Ally McCoist
Former Rangers striker on TNT Sports

Bologna's goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski is beaten by delivery from Aston Villa's John McGinnImage source, Getty Images

It is a great delivery from John McGinn. He puts it into an area outside the post, curling back in for the players in the middle to attack. There is always a chance that if they miss it then the ball will go into the back of the net. Putting the ball into that areas means that the keeper cannot commit to it and it leaves the ball to carry on through.
