    Celtic 2-1 Hibernian

Nicolas Kuhn puts his hands on his head. Greg Taylor picks the Celtic winger out on the edge of the box, he takes a good first touch but then side-foots a shot well over.

The far corner was beckoning, but Kuhn's composure let him down.

  5. Hibs getting a lot closerpublished at 16:11 British Summer Time 18 August

The Hibs players look like they've been told to get a lot closer to their opponents and stop giving Celtic so much space in which to play.

The visitors are a bit more compact and difficult to get through compared to the first half in which the hosts seemed to slice through them like a hot knife through butter.

  6. Postpublished at 16:10 British Summer Time 18 August

    Celtic 2-1 Hibernian

Hibs look a different team since scoring.

Lewis Miller collects a long ball and hooks a cross into the box. Celtic don't deal with it and Nicky Cadden strikes the ball on target.

It's a comfortable save for Kasper Schmeichel, though.

    Celtic 2-1 Hibernian

We're off again at Celtic Park!

  8. GOAL Motherwell 1-0 Kilmarnockpublished at 16:06 British Summer Time 18 August

    Moses Ebiye

A breakthrough at Fir Park at last.

The deftest of touches from substitute forward Moses Ebiye leaves Kieran O'Hara with no chance in the Kilmarnock goal!

On his debut, Tawanda Maswanhise sends a clever cross in from the left and Ebiye just gets enough on it to tuck it away.

Ten-man Kilmarnock have defended well, but now they have a mountain to climb.

  11. Six down, two to gopublished at 16:01 British Summer Time 18 August

So we now know six of the League Cup quarter-finalists.

Dundee United have edged St Mirren to join yesterday's winners - Aberdeen, Dundee, Falkirk, Spartans and holders Rangers - in the draw later.

Motherwell and Kilmarnock have an extra 30 minutes to decide who joins them, while Celtic have a 2-1 advantage as they head into the second half against Hibs.

  12. Wales dives inpublished at 15:59 British Summer Time 18 August

    Motherwell 0-0 Kilmarnock

He was the hero last week against Tromso. Can Bobby Wales produce the magic again?

The young forward is on in place of Rory McKenzie for extra-time.

He's Kilmarnock's seventh substitution of the game.

  13. FULL-TIME Motherwell 0-0 Kilmarnockpublished at 15:58 British Summer Time 18 August

    Extra-time follows

    We are heading for extra-time.

It's looked likely from the first whistle with neither side really showing enough to warrant a winner in the 90.

Ten-man Kilmarnock have coped well despite their disadvantage, while Motherwell have peppered the box without threatening.

  14. FULL-TIME Dundee United 1-0 St Mirrenpublished at 15:57 British Summer Time 18 August

Ross Graham's header proves decisive in the end as United book their place in the Premier Sports Cup quarter-finals.

St Mirren matched United's energy and physicality, but they could not create a clear opportunity to test Jack Walton in the United goal.

  15. CLOSE!published at 15:54 British Summer Time 18 August

    Motherwell 0-0 Kilmarnock

Oh Stephen O'Donnell, was that the chance?

A deep corner is met at the back-post by the former Killie full-back.

He rises well, almost too well, as his header nestles in the roof of the net.

  16. Cracking entertainment in East Endpublished at 15:52 British Summer Time 18 August

    HT: Celtic 2-1 Hibernian

    Kheredine Idessane
    BBC Scotland at Celtic Park

We've had three goals, numerous other chances, plenty of nice football (particularly from the home side).

All of which adds up to a cracking cup tie that is much more finely balanced at half-time than it threatened to be.

Credit to Celtic for all their creativity and clinical finishing. Credit to Hibs for hanging on in there and conjuring a genuine moment of quality in their goal from the free-kick.

Bring on the second half. It promises to be good.

  17. Postpublished at 15:52 British Summer Time 18 August

    Dundee United 1-0 St Mirren

St Mirren are throwing everything at this in the final few moments.

Everyone has gotten forward, they're launching it into the box, but still no equaliser forthcoming - yet.

  18. Postpublished at 15:50 British Summer Time 18 August

    Motherwell 0-0 Kilmarnock

Fraser Murray is receiving a patch-up job after a wee knock to the head.

The Kilmarnock midfielder is going to be replaced with Liam Donnelly for the at least six minutes of additional time.

But are we heading for extra-time?

  19. HALF-TIME - Celtic 2-1 Hibernianpublished at 15:48 British Summer Time 18 August

Well, it didn't look like being a one-goal game at the break after two goals from Daizen Maeda in the opening 15 minutes had the home side cruising.

They were utterly dominant until Mykola Kuharevich's superb diving header pulled one back for Hibs out of nothing.

After that, the visitors had some joy causing a bit of panic in the Celtic backline.

    It's finely poised now.
