    Luton 0-0 Sunderland

On-loan Bournemouth defender Chris Mepham is down for treatment after coming off worse in a clash of heads with Elijah Abebayo as Luton continue to get balls into the Sunderland box from all angles.

It needed a superb flick from Mepham to prevent the Hatters forward ending his nearly six-month wait for a goal.

  3. 'The sting is slowing down for Luton'published at 20:23 British Summer Time

    Luton 0-0 Sunderland

    Nick Barnes
    BBC Newcastle's Sunderland commentator

You have got to make the most of the time you have possession and Luton aren't doing that.

The sting is slowing down for Luton after the stoppage in play.

  4. Postpublished at 20:22 British Summer Time

    Hull City 0-0 Burnley

Hull City win a corner and they work it nicely to get a cross to the far post but no-one can get a head on it.

Burnley quickly switch to the other end and finally get a shot away as Jaidon Anthony's effort is tipped around his post by Ivor Pandur.

  5. Postpublished at 20:20 British Summer Time

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Sheff Utd

Let off for Boro keeper Seny Dieng as he opts to parry away a curling shot from an angle from Blades man Callum O'Hare.

He pushes it right into the danger area in front of goal but Kieffer Moore is not quite in position to capitalise.

Some nervy moments at the back - perhaps unsurprisingly given the two calamitous goals Boro conceded on Saturday.

  6. CLOSE!published at 20:17 British Summer Time

    Blackburn 0-0 West Brom

It could easily be 2-1 as first Rovers' Joe Rankin-Costello drills a foot wide of the Albion post after pinching possession in the visitors' half.

Then Darnell Furlong beats the offside trap at the other end only to drag his volley past the far post with only Aynsley Pears to beat.

The best chance falls to Torbjorn Heggem who finishes a fine build-up move by latching onto Josh Maja's pass and firing a low shot across goal which skims the Rovers post from just inside the box.

  7. Postpublished at 20:16 British Summer Time

    Hull City 0-0 Burnley

Hull City continue to press with Abu Kamara prominent down their left hand side.

It's almost as though the forward, on as a substitute after being dropped from the side which started at the weekend, has something to prove...

  8. Postpublished at 20:14 British Summer Time

    Millwall 1-0 Plymouth

Romain Esse has got his tail up and why not when you've given your side the lead.

This time the forward gets a sight of goal but from just outside the area his shot is saved by Daniel Grimshaw.

  9. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:14 British Summer Time

    Luton 0-0 Sunderland

Luton piling on the pressure from a series of corners with Carlton Morris seeing a header tipped over the bar by Anthony Patterson and seeing another far-post header flick off a defender and loop onto the bar with Elijah Abebayo waiting on the line to turn it in.

Sunderland are holding on for dear life.

  10. 'Luton are peppering the goal'published at 20:14 British Summer Time

    Luton 0-0 Sunderland

    Simon Oxley
Luton commentator on BBC Three Counties Radio

Luton are peppering the goal at the moment. Their set pieces are a real weapon, they cause havoc in the penalty area every time.

  11. CLOSE!published at 20:12 British Summer Time

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Sheff Utd

Sight of goal for the hosts as Luke Ayling clips a deep corner back into the middle, Blades keeper Michael Cooper flaps and George Edmundson sees an angled half-volley deflect off a defender narrowly past the angle of post and bar.

  12. Postpublished at 20:12 British Summer Time

    Hull City 0-0 Burnley

A chance and a good one for Hull City.

Burnley give the ball away on the edge of their own area and Abu Kamara has time to steady himself, take a touch and shoot - wide!

  13. Postpublished at 20:09 British Summer Time

    Blackburn 0-0 West Brom

Not much in the way of action in either final third, but Rovers have had the latest attempt, Ryan Hedges exchanging passes with Todd Cantwell after gliding in from the right flank, only to see his effort from 20 yards saved by Baggies keeper Alex Palmer.

  14. Postpublished at 20:07 British Summer Time

    Hull City 0-0 Burnley

Hull City are having the better of this at the moment.

Burnley are yet to create an effort on goal and the home side are looking a lot more threatening.with Regan Slater and Xavier Simons having shots blocked.

  15. Postpublished at 20:07 British Summer Time

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Sheff Utd

Positive start from the visitors who have penned Boro back in their own half in the early stages and got a couple of dangerous balls into the box, to no avail.

  16. CLOSE!published at 20:06 British Summer Time

    Luton 0-0 Sunderland

And still Luton attack... Victor Moses whips in a cross from the right which Carlton Morris takes down with a fine touch before spinning and lashing a low shot a yard past Anthony Patterson's near post from eight yards out.

Straight up the other end and Jobe Bellingham tries his luck from 20 yards but his curling effort deflects a foot past Thomas Kaminski's upright.

    Lively stuff...

  17. Postpublished at 20:05 British Summer Time

    Millwall 1-0 Plymouth

Plymouth have reacted well to going behind and Ryan Hardie heads straight at Lukas Jensen in the Millwall goal.

  18. Postpublished at 20:03 British Summer Time

    Hull City 0-0 Burnley

A couple of Hull City efforts are blocked by the massed ranks of the Burnley defence.

The home fans cry 'shoot' every time they're within range and given the lack of shots on target in Sunday's defeat by Sunderland you can't really blame them.

Kamara now flashes a cross right across the face of the Burnley goal - it just needs a touch - no-one is there though.

  19. Postpublished at 20:03 British Summer Time

    Luton 0-0 Sunderland

I gave him the big build-up but Alfie Doughty has let me down, and himself down.

Luton's aggressive press wins another free-kick on the edge of the Black Cats box but, with all the big guns up from the back, Doughty can only balloon the cross out of play on the far side to ironic jeers from the travelling fans.

  20. 'Sunderland have to weather the storm'published at 20:03 British Summer Time

    Luton 0-0 Sunderland

    Gary Bennett
Ex-Sunderland defender on BBC Radio Newcastle

Sunderland have just got to weather the storm and hopefully they can play their way into the game.

The game will settle down and then maybe Sunderland will show that little bit of quality and win it.
