  1. goal

GOAL Cardiff 2-0 Portsmouthpublished at 19:58 British Summer Time 22 October

    Callum Robinson (13 mins)

    The Bluebirds are in dreamland.

Alex Robertson's corner from the right is glanced on by the head of Dimitris Goutas... it might be creeping inside the far post but Callum Robinson doesn't wait to find out, he rams it into the roof of the net from less than a yard out to double the City lead.

Portsmouth are having flashbacks to their 6-1 defeat at Stoke, you'd imagine.

  2. goal

GOAL: Oxford United 1-0 Derbypublished at 19:57 British Summer Time 22 October

    Dane Scarlett (12 mins)

    The hosts lead!

There hasn't been a ton of quality in the opening minutes at the Kassam Stadium, but the deadlock has been broken by Oxford United.

The best passage of play so far results in Dane Scarlett finishing off a fine passing move with a well-taken finish.

  3. goal

GOAL: Preston 2-0 Norwichpublished at 19:57 British Summer Time 22 October

    Duane Holmes (12 mins)

    It's two inside 12 minutes!

Duane Holmes is played in down the right by Sam Greenwood and fires a shot across goal into the back of the net to double Preston's lead.

    Norwich are completely shell-shocked.

  4. 'We can't just rely on Ilias to change luck'published at 19:57 British Summer Time 22 October

    QPR v Coventry (20:00 BST)

    QPR

QPR boss Marti Cifuentes has been speaking to Sky Sports:

"I always take it a game at a time. Our target is always to win the next game. We are always just one game away from turning the situation and that is the mindset.

On Ilias Chair's return: "He was a big loss for us in the first games of the season. It wasn't easy for him as well being away for 12 weeks away. He is a very important player for us and I'm sure he will show the quality that he has shown since I've been here. A lot of players need to help him as well, we can't just rely on Ilias to change our luck.

On making four changes: "We had a last-minute small injury with Michael Frey who felt his calf. We know there is another game on Saturday so we didn't feel we could risk it."

  5. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 19:57 British Summer Time 22 October

    Sheff Wed 0-0 Swansea

Swansea almost take the lead at Hillsborough as Jay Fulton has an effort from close range but it cannons off the post.

Sheffield Wednesday came out the traps quicker but the visitors are starting to grow into the game.

  6. Postpublished at 19:56 British Summer Time 22 October

    Stoke 1-0 Bristol City

Bristol City were well and truly dazed by Stoke's fast start, but they are slowly working their way into this game now.

Nahki Wells did well to make some room for himself from a corner, but his header is nowhere near the mark.

  7. Postpublished at 19:56 British Summer Time 22 October

    Cardiff 1-0 Portsmouth

    Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at Cardiff City Stadium

Before Saturday, Cardiff had scored one goal in four Championship home matches.

In the 96 minutes since kick-off against Plymouth on the weekend, the Bluebirds have scored six – with the latest coming courtesy of an own goal by Portsmouth’s Regan Poole.

  8. Postpublished at 19:55 British Summer Time 22 October

    Oxford 0-0 Derby

    Dan George
BBC Sport at The Kassam Stadium

It's a chilly and crisp night at the Kassam, the Derby fans opposite me in good voice early on.

The three stands of the stadium are all pretty much filled for this late midweek game.

Not masses between the two teams early on, some encouraging touches by Oxford's Siriki Dembele though. A player that could make the difference for the U's tonight on the left-hand side.

  9. goal

GOAL Leeds 2-0 Watfordpublished at 19:54 British Summer Time 22 October

    Brenden Aaronson (7 mins)

Leeds are rampant... it's another calamity from the Watford keeper as Daniel Bachmann parries a low cross from the right from Willy Gnonto straight into the path of Brenden Aaronson who strokes the ball back into the net with interest.

Leeds are top of the table, as things stand.

It's Watford who are falling apart tonight.

  10. Postpublished at 19:53 British Summer Time 22 October

    Stoke 1-0 Bristol City

Eric Bocat is a man very much in the mood for Stoke today.

Not only did he fire off a heck of a early warning shot for the hosts, he also provided the cross for Tom Cannon to set up the opening goal.

  11. goal

GOAL: Preston 1-0 Norwichpublished at 19:52 British Summer Time 22 October

    Sam Greenwood (6 mins)

No mistake from the spot by Sam Greenwood who smashes it straight down the middle as George Long dives to his right.

A great start for Preston and the Canaries are rattled early doors.

  12. goal

GOAL Cardiff 1-0 Portsmouthpublished at 19:51 British Summer Time 22 October

    Regan Poole (og) (5 mins)

A nightmare own goal puts the hosts ahead.

The Portsmouth defence give Cardiff full-back Perry Ng time and space to drive into the right of the area and fire a dangerous low cross across the face of goal which a sliding Regan Poole can only divert inside his own post to send the Cardiff City Stadium wild.

There was nobody within six yards of him. Heads in hands for the Pompey defenders around him.

  13. PENALTY TO PRESTONpublished at 19:51 British Summer Time 22 October

    Preston 0-0 Norwich

An early chance here for the hosts!

Emil Riis goes through and is brought down by the keeper and the ref points to the spot.

  14. goal

GOAL Leeds 1-0 Watfordpublished at 19:50 British Summer Time 22 October

    Largie Ramazani (4 mins)

Leeds celebrate goalImage source, Rex Features

A perfect start for Leeds and a howler from Daniel Bachmann.

Largie Ramazani collects a short pass from Junior Firpo and tries his luck with a fierce strike from the left corner of the area, his powerful shot is too hot for the Hornets keeper who lets it slip through his hands and though he reacts to try and scoop the ball back, it had already crossed the line.

Ramazani is dancing. Leeds are winning.

  15. Postpublished at 19:48 British Summer Time 22 October

    Cardiff 0-0 Portsmouth

Bright start from the Bluebirds and a freshly-bleached Rubin Colwill whips in a cross from the right which defender Dimitris Goutas meets with a booming header which flies over the Pompey Bar.

  16. goal

GOAL: Stoke 1-0 Bristol Citypublished at 19:48 British Summer Time 22 October

    Lewis Koumas (2 mins)

First goal of the night in the Championship!

Stoke City have made an incredible start, with Lewis Koumas doing brilliantly well to rifle the ball home on the spin after getting on the end of Tom Cannon's knock-down header.

That goal took less than 90 second to come, and actually came after Eric Bocat was kept out by Bristol City goalkeeper Max O'Leary.

  18. 'More positivity after Plymouth thumping'published at 19:46 British Summer Time 22 October

    Cardiff 0-0 Portsmouth (19:45 BST)

    Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at Cardiff City Stadium

Optimism has been in short supply at Cardiff City Stadium this season - but there's a good deal more positivity after Saturday's 5-0 thrashing of Plymouth.

Before that demolition of Wayne Rooney's side, Cardiff had mustered just four goals from their previous nine Championship games.

No wonder interim manager Omer Riza has named an unchanged team for tonight's game against Portsmouth, one place below the Bluebirds in 23rd.
