Fulham v West HamImage source, Getty Images

Fulham are hungrier and West Ham are way too passive. Lopetegui must be starting to realise the scale of his task. West Ham are a lazy team mentally and physically. 60-years of complacency to break. OK is simply not good enough.

    Man City 2-1 Brentford

Ooooh, Manchester City have a corner and Jack Grealish isn't far away on the volley but Brentford clear with around five minutes remaining of this first half.

Mateo Kovacic is into the book for a foul on Yoane Wissa.

That was quite something from Matz Sels. A lucky boy.

The home fans insisted it was over the line but the referee's watch said otherwise.

  4. 'Sels, you are awfully lucky'published at 15:43 British Summer Time 14 September

    Liverpool 0-0 Nottingham Forest

    Chris Sutton
Former Celtic striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Matz Sels wouldn't have slept for a month!

Sels nearly sold the pies. The header was too high for Diaz and he loops a header up in the air - it is a standard catch for a 12-year-old goalkeeper nevermind a Premier League goalkeeper.

How it doesnt go over the line I don't know. Sels, you are awfully lucky.

Liverpool's Jack Balmer was the last player to score a top flight hat-trick in three successive games - and that was in 1946.

Dixie Dean is someone else who did it.

Erling Haaland is one goal away. Manchester City have Inter Milan in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Can you imagine if Pep Guardiola took Haaland off and he was still on two.

  6. CLOSE!published at 15:41 British Summer Time 14 September

    Liverpool 0-0 Nottingham Forest

You couldn't do that again if you tried! Matz Sels has made some good saves for Forest but he drops a simple header from Luis Diaz, it bounces between his legs and he somehow scoops it up from on - but crucially not over - the line!

  7. 'A crucial save'published at 15:40 British Summer Time 14 September

    Liverpool 0-0 Nottingham Forest

    Chris Sutton
Former Celtic striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

The ball from Trent was superb. Mac Allister's header on target, but Sels got down well - a crucial save.

Liverpool are building a little bit of momentum now.

  8. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:38 British Summer Time 14 September

    Liverpool 0-0 Nottingham Forest

Liverpool are ramping it up as we edge towards the interval, Alexis Mac Allister somehow evades attention inside the area to meet a left-wing cross with a decent header and it's well pushed out by Matz Sels.

    Can Forest cling on?

  9. Postpublished at 15:38 British Summer Time 14 September

    Man City 2-1 Brentford

Forget Pep Guardiola's tiki-taka football and passing 100 times to get to goal.

It was Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson who assisted Erling Haaland for that goal with a big booted ball over the top.

Nice little bonus for those of you with the Brazilian goalkeeper in your fantasy teams.

  10. CLOSE!published at 15:37 British Summer Time 14 September

    Brighton 0-0 Ipswich

Brighton have three bites of the cherry but still can't score.

Georginio Rutter and Kaoru Mitoma are denied by Arijanet Muric in quick succession, before Axel Tuanzebe is finally able to clear.

    Ipswich hanging in there.

    It's an unbelievable finish.

Erling Haaland recognises that the ball in behind was short and he uses his body to get in between the ball and the defender and then bullies him.

He's just making the Premier League look so easy and it's not an easy league to play in.

  12. CLOSE!published at 15:37 British Summer Time 14 September

    Liverpool 0-0 Nottingham Forest

Trent Alexander-Arnold almost scores direct from a corner! Whipped in, near post and Matz Sels has to scrabble to fist over the bar.

  13. 'Incredible'published at 15:35 British Summer Time 14 September

    Man City 2-1 Brentford

    Chris Sutton
Former Celtic striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

    It is incredible.

Erling Haaland's numbers are phenomenal. It is like he's playing a different game.

  14. goal

GOAL - Man City 2-1 Brentfordpublished at 15:33 British Summer Time 14 September

    Erling Haaland (32 mins)

    HaalandImage source, Getty Images

Well for all of Brentford's good work they have slipped up there.

Erling Haaland is all on his own just past the halfway line and you can't leave him one-on-one like that. He loses Ethan Pinnock and slots home.

    Surely not another hat-trick?

A reminder that no one in the Premier League era has scored three successive hat-tricks.

  15. Haaland is unstoppablepublished at 15:33 British Summer Time 14 September

    Man City 1-1 Brentford

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport's chief football news reporter at the Etihad Stadium

Erling Haaland's scoring statistics are ridiculous.

He has now scored 98 goals in all competitions for Manchester City.

Haaland has been here two seasons and a month (or four-and-a-half games depending on how you look at it).

I tended to think Sergio Aguero was the master goalscorer but Haaland will smash the Argentine's club record of 260 if he stays here for another four years at the current rate of scoring..

  16. Postpublished at 15:32 British Summer Time 14 September

    Fulham 1-0 West Ham

There's not been much of a reaction from the Hammers to going behind but Mohammed Kudus has been a livewire down their left. He beats his man and puts in a fine cross but there's nobody in there sniffing the danger.

A chance for Fullkrug, that one.

Liverpool v ForestImage source, Getty Images

I don't think it has been as slick and fluid as what Arne Slot would have wanted.

You have got to give Forest credit, they've been aggressive and they have got under Liverpool's skin a little bit.

  18. Postpublished at 15:30 British Summer Time 14 September

Arne Slot looks at the screen of a tablet from someone on his bench. I wonder what he's seen on there - something tactical presumably.

Or maybe his coach is just playing Football Manager. "I've just signed Martin Zubimendi."

  19. CLOSE!published at 15:30 British Summer Time 14 September

    Liverpool 0-0 Nottingham Forest

Virgil van Dijk remains a threat in the air, flicking a corner just wide at the newly colossal Anfield Road End. Forest have got enough to worry about without shipping a cheap goal from a corner.
