Chelsea looking like Liverpool should have looked like on Friday- disjointed, too many new players and strangely leggy.

A brilliant start from Forest. You would expect them to rely on their home games to be where they make most of their points up again, this place is a fortress for them.

It helped they got the early goal. Then the momentum they took from the fans in the opening 15 minutes helped them to go on and consolidate the performance and get the second and third goals.

As a Chelsea fan I'd have Glasner over Maresca in a heartbeat. Palace always have a plan and get the best out of their players. Chelsea have the same boring, stale tactics every game.

Not a day for clear-cut chances.

Out of the two managers Oliver Glasner will be happier. As for Chelsea, they probed, but they couldn't create chances. Overall, an entertaining game.

A lucky Forest fan just got given Dan Ndoye's shirt. That will be one to cherish if his Premier League debut is anything to go by.

Chelsea, who paraded a banner calling themselves world champions after winning the Club World Cup in the summer, start their Premier League campaign with a goalless draw against Crystal Palace.

It's far from the result Keith Andrews will have wanted in what was his first game as a Premier League manager.

He goes over the applaud the travelling Bees fans and they give their applause back. There are some pretty glum faces in there.

  13. 'Santos never looked comfortable'published at 15:55 British Summer Time

    Chelsea 0-0 Crystal Palace

    Steve Sidwell

Andrey Santos never looked comfortable. All his teammates slump to the ground as they knew it was a great opportunity.

  14. Postpublished at 15:55 British Summer Time

    Chelsea 0-0 Crystal Palace

Chelsea's Andrey Santos, free inside the penalty area and central, is found by Marc Cucurella's low cross and the substitute has the chance to be the hero. But it is an ugly, awful finish, well over the bar.

That could and should've been a late winner. Hands on heads everywhere, including from boss Enzo Maresca.

  15. 'Performance will disappoint more than defeat'published at 15:54 British Summer Time

    Nottingham Forest 3-1 Brentford

    Rachel Corsie
Former Scotland and Aston Villa captain on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

This has not been the performance that Brentford would have wanted in many areas, which will probably disappoint Keith Andrews more than the defeat. There are still some positives that they can take, the goal for Igor Thiago the main one, but Forest have been the better side today.

Forest fans love Murillo and this is why!

He wins the ball back to stop a Brentford counter and then shows off his Brazilian flair before winning a free-kick.

A chance for Liam Delap on his first Premier League appearance for Chelsea from the edge of the box, but he doesn't get enough power on the strike and it is a routine save for Dean Henderson.

Time is ticking away here for the Bees.

  19. 'Gusto had no right to shoot'published at 15:51 British Summer Time

    Chelsea 0-0 Crystal Palace

    Steve Sidwell

Well, there's making an impact and then there's making an impact. Malo Gusto probably saw the headlines before he touched the ball there. He had no right to shoot from that angle.

Chelsea substitute Malo Gusto blazes over from long distance. It has been that kind of game.
