  1. 'We had to be a bit lucky but we deserved to win'published at 22:12 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December

FT: Ipswich Town 0-1 Crystal Palace

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner, speaking to Match of the Day, said: "Very pleased with the result. It was not about performing brilliantly. We expected a big fight and it was a big fight.

"It was an amazing goal, an amazing finish with JP Mateta. We had two or three chances to take the game away from them and didn't take them. At the end we had to be a bit lucky but I think we deserved to win.

"When JP gets the ball in the box he is such a good finisher and it is usually a goal. We're pleased with our defensive performance, we didn't allow them a chance from open play, just one from a set piece in the first half and one in the second half."

  2. 'A well-worked corner'published at 22:11 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December

It's a decent corner and Niclas Fullkrug gets in front of Conor Coady to guide it into the goal. It's a well-worked corner that from West Ham.

But with only four minutes to go, not many West Ham fans who left the stadium are rushing back in.

Leicester's resistance is finally broken as Niclas Fullkrug gets his first West Ham goal by nodding in Crysencio Summerville's corner.

He didn't celebrate it. Too little, too late.

    Leicester 3-0 West Ham

The difference between Leicester against Brentford at the weekend and tonight is day and night. It's a huge difference. You can call it the new manager bounce or whatever you like.

But they have looked structured, organised and defensively a lot tougher to break down. It's the best start Ruud van Nistelrooy could have hoped for.

    Patson Daka (90 mins)

Ruthless. Clinical. Everything West Ham haven't been tonight.

It's all Patson Daka's own work as he charges down the left channel and then blasts the ball into the roof of the net.

West Ham are finishing the game on the front foot, although they don't seem that urgent once they get into the final third.

A sloppy pass from Jarrod Bowen gives Leicester a goal kick. The camera pans back to Julen Lopetegui who shakes his head.

  11. 'We gave away a poor goal'published at 22:03 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December

FT: Ipswich Town 0-1 Crystal Palace

    Ipswich Town

Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna, speaking to Match of the Day, said: "A disappointing night and probably many similarities to Saturday [the 1-0 loss at Nottingham Forest]. It was a competitive game, an even first half, not the highest quality game and not our best performance here.

"But we were right in the game and started the second half better but then gave away a poor goal and we were not able to produce the quality to open them up. We're not happy with the result and didn't make it the kind of game we wanted to give us a chance of getting a result.

"We've had some really good performances here. Some games we should've won and played some really good football and scored goals. We've not turned one of those into a win and until we do that this will be held over us [no home wins] and that's something we can't remove until we win at home. We've played well at home for the most part, but I don't think we did so today."

  12. 'Van Nistelrooy has been absolutely deadpan'published at 22:02 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December

    Leicester 2-0 West Ham

Ruud van Nistelrooy's Leicester hit West Ham on the counter yet again, but it was really tight on the VAR. It was close and the camera pans on the Leicester manager, whose expression has not changed much all evening. He has been absolutely deadpan on the touchline.

  14. 'We are always against discrimination, Guehi as well."published at 22:01 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December

    FT: Ipswich 0-1 Crystal Palace

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner, speaking to Amazon Prime about getting their first away win of the season: "A very important game here, it is difficult to play. We played very good first half, controlled the game. Then we scored a fantastic goal and it was quite often this season that we had the situations, we had the momentum and we had the second chance to decide the game. We didn't today but at the end we were lucky, but overall I think the win was deserved.

"If you don't score three or four goals, you have to be stable in defending. This back three didn't have many trainings together when we started but we get used to how we want to play and the structure is clear. The last 10 minutes I would have appreciated if we were a bit more active and putting on a bit more pressure.

"I told the players we had to expect a big fight today and it was a big fight, especially at the end. We expected them to play man to man, big pressure. We had to find these moments to go in behind and we scored a great goal. We knew that we have this quality but it's also important everyone works for the team in defending. That's why a clean sheet is always at least one point and when you score one, you win."

On Marc Guehi writing on the captain's armband: "I think we should calm it down. Everybody knows Marc, everyone knows he is a great player, he is a great personality. He is a very humble guy. He wore this. It's LGBT and everyone now is about integration, no discrimination and Marc as well. I think we all have the same opinion. We are in sports and in sports we are always against discrimination and any kind of abuse, and Marc as well."
