The gap between the Premier League and the rest just keeps getting bigger. Chances of upsets are much smaller, just like the chances of promoted teams staying in the Premier League for more than a season. Shame.

    John

Sit tight everyone, I truly believe the FA Cup will produce some of its magic. There *will* be an upset today.

More danger for the Black Cats as Lewis Koumas is allowed to cut inside and shoot from range. It's deflected just wide.

From the corner, Tom Cannon lashes a shot high, wide and not so handsome.

All a bit too easy for the Potters.

    Nottingham Forest 1-0 Luton Town

Luton have failed to progress from any of their last five FA Cup ties when playing against opposition from a higher division, since a 1-0 win over Portsmouth in November 2017.

There aren't too many signs of them ending that run currently.
