How to get to the Maes

There is no parking available at the Eisteddfod site this year. A shuttle bus service will be available throughout the week with temporary car parks situated to the East and West of Llanelli. The car parks will be clearly sign-posted with yellow signs at all major junctions.

People can travel to and from the Eisteddfod in various ways, including by train, bus, bicycle, on foot and taxi.

The caravan site is located on land at Castell y Strade opposite the Eisteddfod Maes. Again follow the yellow direction signs to get there.

Park and ride

  • From North or West Wales via Carmarthen follow the A484 south from Carmarthen towards Llanelli. At the roundabout after Burry Port, follow the yellow signs to park in Burry Port.

  • From the North of Llanelli, via Crosshands, Pontiets or Pontardulais, follow the yellow signs when you reach Llanelli.

  • From the East along the M4, leave at Junction 47 and take the second exit at the roundabout towards Swansea. At next roundabout take second exit A484 to Llanelli. From here follow signs to Llanelli and then the yellow signs to the car parks

The shuttle bus service is free and will operate at all times that the Eisteddfod is open to the public. Please allow plenty of time for this part of your journey which could be up to half an hour.

Disabled visitors

Disabled parking will be at Parc y Scarlets with appropriate buses running at regular intervals.

Public transport

Free shuttle buses will run between the train and bus stations in town and the Maes every 20 minutes. For more details, visit the Eisteddfod website, dolen allanol.
