Truro City had lost just once in seven games before defeat at home to Worthing

Truro City's excellent run of form came to an abrupt end as they were thrashed 4-1 at home by high-flying Worthing in National League South.

The loss curtailed a four-game winning run and was the biggest suffered by the club since they were taken over by a Canadian consortium in late November.

Tyler Harvey gave City a 30th-minute lead, but Danny Cashman levelled just before half time.

Worthing went on to score three times in a 22-minute spell after the break.

Ollie Pearce made it 2-1 after 55 minutes before and Cashman scored his second two minutes later.

Pearce added his second with 13 minutes to go as Worthing moved up to second place in the table, while Truro remain 16th.
