    Brackley Town 1-2 Notts County

Morgan Roberts has been a livewire but he looks to have had the wind knocked out of him as he challenged for the header which hit the bar.

Brackley will not wan to lose him as he has been at the heart of most of the positive moves for the hosts.

To us, it looked as if it went in.

It bounced off the underside of the bar then out - my money is that it crossed the line.

How has that not gone in?

Tyler Lyttle has pinged a superb cross in from the right at the end of a blistering counter attack and Morgan Roberts has headed that against the bar.

The ball rebounds back down on to the line and then back up on to the bar and away. Matt Lowe is then adjudged to have fouled as Notts County breathe a sigh of relief.

After having a goal disallowed and a contentious penalty awarded Brackley will feel the gods are against them here but they look like they have a goal in them.

Went to see Gateshead win today. Brilliant atmosphere in the Howay end and a well deserved win!

    Brackley Town 1-2 Notts County

It's a wonderful ball over the top and he gets clipped.

It's a good start to the second half.

He sends the keeper the wrong way and Notts have the lead again, it's good counterattacking play.

    Jodi Jones (51 mins pen)

Calmly slotted by Malta international Jodi Jones.

Jones had forced a fine save from Jonny Maxted moments before, pinging a free-kick from distance which the Brackley keeper did well to tip over.

But with Conor Grant racing through one-on-one moments later, Maxted just clips his ankle and the Notts County man goes down as he tries to round him.

Maxted, who is booked for the challenge, protests and there is some justification given the touch was slight.

But on balance Grant probably looks to keep his feet to get off the shot before becoming unbalanced so it was probably correct.

Jones makes no mistake from the spot to restore the lead.

FT: Newport 2-2 Gillingham (4-3 on pens)

A little bit of housekeeping for half-time of our final game of the day, and that's to bring you the result of the penalty shootout between Newport and Gillingham.

It's the club from south Wales that has progressed into round two, winning 4-3 on spot-kicks.

Ben Lloyd scored the winner for the Exiles after Remeao Hutton and Sam Vokes missed for the Gills.

  10. Cowan wants 'more of the same' from Brackleypublished at 18:26 GMT 1 November

    HT: Brackley 1-1 Notts County

Brackley boss Gavin Cowan on BBC Two:

"We have been on the ascendancy but we need to make our chances tell.

"My message for the second half will be more of the same; try to control the ball, try to control possession, win first and second contact.

"You can see Notts County are a very good side with great quality into the box so we need to stop crosses. It will be another mountain to climb but one I'm sure the lads will be ready for."

  11. 'Notts have been second best'published at 18:23 GMT 1 November

    HT: Brackley 1-1 Notts County

    Mark Stallard
Former Notts County striker on BBC Radio Nottingham

Since taking the lead, Brackley got on the front foot and caused problems.

The initial ball in was a sloppy punch for the equaliser.

It's no more than Brackley deserve, Notts have been second best for large portions of that half.

Brackley could have been dispirited but they played their football, with tempo and intensity.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 18:20 GMT 1 November

    Brackley Town 1-1 Notts County

There will be some head scratching about that disallowed goal just before half-time but Brackley Town will feel confident that this clash is within their grasp.

Notts County looked in charge early after Alassana Jatta's opener headed in Jodi Jones's well flighted cross.

But with the Magpies on the verge of a second, Riccardo Calder's saving tackle proved a game changer.

Brackley had an equaliser moments later through Matt Lowe and they might have had a second just before the break only to have their hopes dashed by an offside call.

Lucas Ness met the ball in the box and it spilled to Zak Lilly out left. He pinged the ball back across the six yard box and Jacob Bedeau turned it into his own net.

Hard to see what that was given for but there was not an offside.

  13. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 18:18 GMT 1 November

    Brackley Town 1-1 Notts County

    That looked very close.

The ball is pumped in from the right and the header looked to come off a Notts County head before a cross from the left side is bundled in.

Zak Lilley has been judged offside. Possibly.

With the stands still grumbling Shane Byrne then hammers a superb effort from outside the area which Kelle Roos tips over.

  14. Postpublished at 18:13 GMT 1 November

    Brackley Town 1-1 Notts County

Strong bit of forward play and no little tenacity from Matt Lowe to win a corner on the right.

Lucas Ness repels the first dead ball, clearing behind. The second eventually finds Jack Price but his shot from a tight angle finds the side netting.

After Notts County looked in charge this is a very even game now.

  15. 'Notts have got to take the game to Brackley'published at 18:10 GMT 1 November

    Brackley 1-1 Notts County

    Mark Stallard

Notts have got to take the game to Brackley, they've got to show the quality.

Right now, you wouldn't know who the team in the Football League are.

This has got to be the best advert for having three down, three up between League Two and the National League. It’s ridiculous and unfair.

  17. Postpublished at 18:07 GMT 1 November

    Brackley Town 1-1 Notts County

Chance for Notts County as Nick Tsaroulla slings in an inviting ball with his left foot but his target Alassana Jatta can't get on the end of it.

It is no coincidence that the goals, threats and chances are coming from aerial attacks given the pace of this rain-softened pitch. Even 10-yard passes are having to be hit with some feeling.

  18. 'Matt Lowe is virtually unchallenged'published at 18:00 GMT 1 November

    Brackley 1-1 Notts County

    Mark Stallard

It's a high and floaty cross - the keeper could only punch it instead of catch.

Matt Lowe is virtually unchallenged, we said Brackley had been the better side.

    Matt Lowe (27 mins)

And the hosts are level and we have a contest on our hands.

Alassana Jatta very nearly doubled his own tally and the League Two side's lead only to be denied by a last ditch challenge from Riccardo Calder.

Up the other end they go, Lucas Ness gives away a foul on the left flank.

The free-kick is punched out to Tyler Lyttle and his cross is nodded in from six yards out by Matt Lowe for fourth goal in the competition.
