  2. 'The two main ones have been unlucky'published at 16:21 British Summer Time 22 April

Arsenal v Crystal Palace (Wed, 20:00 BST)

    Arsenal

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta on Riccardo Calafiori's repeated injuries: "Three of the injuries are impact injuries. One was a really bad twist, it could have been worse. We have learned a lot about the player and how we can be on top of the situation to try and prevent them. The two main ones have been unlucky and we could have done very little differently."

Being a City fan, I am not confident of us finishing in top five. The other week Crystal Palace carved us open so easily in the first 25 minutes, and were unlucky not to have been 3-0 up. If we play the opening 25 minutes as we did then, Villa will have a field day and come away with the three points. If this happens, I don’t see us ending the season strongly enough to qualify. Hope I am wrong, but top 5 - Liverpool, Arsenal, Villa, Newcastle, and Forest.

  4. 'When the players are fit and available and want to play, they have to play'published at 16:15 British Summer Time 22 April

Arsenal v Crystal Palace (Wed, 20:00 BST)

    Arsenal

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta on if he would rest Bukayo Saka for PSG: "We cannot think in those terms, when the players are fit and available and want to play, they have to play. They are at their best when they are playing and they have consistency in their performances and physically and emotionally they are good. They have the rhythm and that is when they are at their best.

"If they are not available, there is no discussion. If they are not in a good condition to perform we are not going to play them. But if they are we will play them."

  5. 'I think Martinelli is on the right path'published at 16:10 British Summer Time 22 April

Arsenal v Crystal Palace (Wed, 20:00 BST)

    Arsenal

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta on Martin Odegaard: "I thought he was really good in the match, I think he affected the game in the way we want. When you look at the numbers he provided he was exceptional."

And on Gabriel Martinelli: "When you look at his consistency over the years and the amount of goals he has scored at his age and his contribution to a big club like Arsenal, that is not easy at all. So I think he is on the right path. He is a fantastic player to work with, his work ethic. He has decided to play every minute of every competition. That is the kind of character and leaders we want in the team."

Arsenal v Crystal Palace (Wed, 20:00 BST)

    Arsenal

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta added on if he would consider experimenting with the midfield as he did against Real Madrid: "Thomas [Partey] was unavailable to start the game [against Real], at the end we decided not to even play him because he wasn't feeling particularly well.

"We have some options, we have the opportunity to experiment."

If Arsenal lose tomorrow Liverpool will win the title and Arteta was asked if it adds extra incentive: "Our incentive is to win our game and to do our best to continue with our run that we are in right now, the rest we cannot control."

  10. 'It's good to have a little gap because we are really short in numbers'published at 16:00 British Summer Time 22 April

Arsenal v Crystal Palace (Wed, 20:00 BST)

    Arsenal

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta added on if he would prefer the PSG game to be sooner if they beat Crystal Palace to keep winning momentum going: "it is what we have, let's take the opportunity first of all. Earn the right to win the game tomorrow against a really good side, they have a really good record away from home as well and after that we have time to prepare the game really well."

On if the six day break between tomorrow's game and the first leg against PSG in the Champions League influences his team selection: "We have more days, the amount of options we have is not that many, especially because of where the players are coming and the amount of minutes they can play. It's good to have a little gap because we are really short in numbers."

    Phil McNulty Q&A

    Phil McNulty
    BBC Sport chief football writer

Alan: Phil given what we've seen over recent years why would a top player like Cunha - rumoured to be going to Old Trafford- even think about joining Man Utd where form dips as soon as they put on the shirt?

Hello, Alan. Whatever you may or may not think about Manchester United, they are a huge club with great attraction for most players.

Of course, it also depends which other clubs show an interest in Matheus Cunha, but he clearly wants to test himself at the very top judging by the noises this season.

I would have thought Arsenal might show an interest, but he is a high-class player and I can still see why Manchester United appeal.

And he will back himself to buck the trend and succeed.
