I've covered a fair few Liverpool games as Anfield but this is the busiest I've seen it with the streets all around the ground a sea of red.

The usually relatively straightforward walk to collect my media pass was a bit more tricky this time with thousands crowded to see the team bus arrive, and when the champions did appear it prompted lots of red flares and chants of "Championis".

    An incredible atmosphere already.

Surely someone has to take a punt on signing Grealish this summer? Surplus to requirements and still a superb player, a team coming in and saying "you won't get the wages, but you could be a hero" could rebuild his career ahead of a World Cup year...

For Newcastle, the task is simple. Win, and they will be in the Champions League next season.

They enter today fourth in the table, ahead of Chelsea and Aston Villa on goal difference and one point clear of Nottingham Forest.

A draw could be enough, but Eddie Howe's side would need need Villa to fail to win at Manchester United.

Defeat to Everton will make things difficult. Not mathematically impossible but definitely unlikely. In that scenario, Villa and one of Chelsea or Forest would have to both lose.

I am told Andre Onana will be on the bench this afternoon with Altay Bayindir taking over in goal.

This might be the last Premier League game of the season but United's players have a busy week ahead.

Onana, Harry Maguire and Diogo Dalot are scheduled to go to India for a promotional visit on Thursday.

The rest of Ruben Amorim's squad will fly to Kuala Lumpur immediately after today's game for the first of two money raising friendly matches.

The first, against a south east Asia select side is on Wednesday, the second, is against the Hong Kong national side on Friday.
