If it stays like this it is four home defeats in a row.

That's not happened to Manchester United in nearly a century.

If you told me at the start of the season that the gap between Forest and United would be this big then I would have believed you. Just not this way round!

Four home defeats in a row for Manchester United would be unthinkable at one time but that's what they are currently on course for.

Southampton make a double change as on come Flynn Downes and Adam Armstrong with Joe Aribo and Mateus Fernandes making way.

Fifteen minutes to go at Old Trafford.

One or two of the Southampton's players are starting to get cramp.

I'm surprised Ivan Juric hasn't got cramp with the amount of times he has been up and down in his own box!

    Lacking quality in crucial moments.

You have to be good and composed in these big moments and that was nowhere near it from Amad.

Toby Collyer plays a great ball for Amad Diallo to send him away down the right but Diallo's cross is far too deep and the opportunity goes for Manchester United.

    Man Utd 0-1 Southampton

It has been a while since Southampton last attacked but they come forward now as the ball is slipped through the defence to Yukinari Sugawara inside the box but he is unable to control the ball and then goes down a bit easily.

You just have the feeling that one goal won't be enough for Southampton.

  10. 'Brighton took their chances'published at 21:27 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January

    Mark Schwarzer
Former Chelsea & Fulham goalkeeper on 5 Sports Extra

Ipswich didn't do enough on the front foot, they didn't create enough opportunities.

    Brighton took their chances.

The recruitment at Man Utd has been awful. One good season in the Dutch league or Italian league doesn't make you a £50m plus player who can play in a much faster and tougher league.

The Man Utd players would rather play an easy pass rather than a dangerous one.

This is the longest spell that Southampton have had to defend for.

Southampton have looked impressive when they have played in United's half.

    Ipswich 0-2 Brighton

After four consecutive draws and eight winless games, Brighton finally have a victory.

Fabian Hurzeler's side controlled the second half where goals from Kaoru Mitoma and Georginio Rutter pushed them over the line.

The results sees the Seagulls climb to ninth place while Ipswich return to the relegation zone.

Southampton look like the home team, how are they not at least three up? Are Man Utd really this bad or are Saints playing so much better than previous weeks? I'm well impressed with this Saints performance.

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:22 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January

This is a blow for Southampton because Tyler Dibling - excellent in the first half - is injured and has to go off. He is replaced by Will Smallbone.

Leny Yoro just got absolutely skinned by Kamaldeen Sulemana.

Play switches to the other end and Antony fails to put the ball into an open goal.

    That pair cost £134m.

No wonder Sir Jim Ratcliffe has a stern face.

Better from Manchester United as Alejandro Garnacho strikes a dipping effort from outside the box that forces Aaron Ramsdale into probably his most testing save of the night so far.
