Peter: Any clarification on the difference between "reckless" and "dangerous" play in the rules? Surely that's got to be considered dangerous play and a straight red?

On the Premier League website, external it states: "Contact on foot only is typically considered reckless = Yellow card.

"High + Full + Forceful contact on ankle or above is considered dangerous = Red card."

    HT: Southampton 1-0 Crystal Palace

    Dan George
    BBC Sport at St Mary's

Well then, Southampton lead the game going into the break and they have played some decent football.

The home fans are all on their feet applauding the team as they head down the tunnel.

It was a real move of quality by Saints for the goal, Dean Henderson could have maybe done better but it was a good header by Paul Onuachu.

To be honest it feels as if Palace are yet to get going, I would expect them to come out with some early pressure after the break.

    For now, Saints lead.

Everton battling very well at the back. Dominik Szoboszlai can't find a way through.

    Newcastle 1-0 Brentford

    Pat Nevin
Former Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra

They have just had the worst period of the game and couldn't get forward.

The first cross in from Trippier, it looks like there is a slip from the centre-back and all Isak has to do is find the goal.

The defender should be able to clear it and he has just slipped.

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:34 British Summer Time 2 April

That was the last action of the first half. Newcastle thought they had made it 1-0 but it was disallowed. Then they really did make it 1-0.

  11. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:33 British Summer Time 2 April

    Liverpool 0-0 Everton

Everton striker Beto should score! For the second time this game he races away through on goal after getting past Virgil van Dijk and co.

This time he is onside and he beats Caoimhin Kelleher but sees the ball crash off the post.

    That is mighty close.

Newcastle have the ball in the back of the net after Alexander Isak produces some nifty footwork to get round Nathan Collins and chip over for Harvey Barnes to head into an empty net but the flag goes up for offside.
