  1. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:29 British Summer Time 2 April

    Liverpool 0-0 Everton

Everton striker Beto is booked for delaying the restart. Feels a bit mad that stopping someone taking a quick throw-in gets you the same punishment as James Tarkowski.

That was a stonewall penalty for Villa. There is absolutely no point in VAR if they are getting decisions like that and the Tarkowski red wrong. If we still end up with incorrect decisions we might as well save several minutes per game getting there...

Ipswich are certainly not shy in coming forward as Jens Cajuste fires over the top from inside the area. Should be doing better from there.

Luis Diaz clips a ball into Mohamed Salah who is in space and powers a header straight at Jordan Pickford. You don't really associate Salah with heading.

  6. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:27 British Summer Time 2 April

    Brighton 0-0 Aston Villa

Yasin Ayari is the man to take and he curls it off the upright. So close to an opener!

Emi Martinez was beaten but the post wasn't. The ball rebounded on to the arm of Jacob Ramsey but there was nothing he could do about that.

Marc Guehi's blind backpass gifts Southampton striker Paul Onuachu the ball in the box but he snatches at his shot. A waste.

Question for Leicester fans, would they rather call it quits on the season and just start again in August in the Championship?

  14. Postpublished at 20:25 British Summer Time 2 April

Jordan Pickford flaps at Alexis Mac Allister's corner and just about gets enough on it. Everton mount a counter but Virgil van Dijk fouls Carlos Alcaraz to stop it.

Newcastle are completely spooked by that frontline of four and sometimes five Brentford players and they are being pushed right back.

They know they are tactically losing this game at the moment.
