Late, late drama - but it's the Championship, what else do we expect?

This one took until the second period to get going and Todd Cantwell volleyed a fine opener for Blackburn and that looked like it might be enough only for the visitors to steal away the points.

Ethan Laird was fouled by Lewis Miller and Jay Stansfield stepped up to convert a 90th minute penalty for this third goal in three games but we weren't done there.

In the eighth minute of 11 added on by Oliver Langford Birmingham broke away through Demarai Gray and his cross was touched home by Lyndon Dykes for his first league goal since January.

Quite a day at Ewood Park but don't tell Rovers fans that.

  3. FULL-TIMEpublished at 17:03 British Summer Time 16 August

    Swansea 1-0 Sheff Utd

Ronald's second-half strike is the difference.

Swansea are up and running. Sheffield United are most certainly not.

Ruben Selles' team did not manage a single shot on target in the whole game. That is not good enough.

  4. FULL-TIMEpublished at 17:02 British Summer Time 16 August

    Millwall 0-3 Middlesbrough

Millwall had won their last five home games last season under Alex Neil but they have been buried by a superb second half from Middlesbrough.

Hayden Hackney, Alfie Jones and Delano Burgzorg with the goals as Boro win their opening two games for the first time since 1994.

Two games, six points and no goals conceded for Rob Edwards with the Boro.

  5. 'A lot of Blues resilience'published at 17:01 British Summer Time 16 August

    Blackburn 1-2 Birmingham

    Ian Clarkson
Ex-Birmingham captain on BBC Radio WM

We've seen a lot of Blues resilience here.

It's taken them a long time to show it, it will give them a tremendous boost.

To get to the 89th minute and be trailing then find two goals, it's the best way to kick-start your season.

Watford hold on to take the three points - their first under Paulo Pezzolano.

Luca Kjerrumgaard's first-half double ultimately proved decisive for the Hornets, despite the late sending-off of Imran Louza,, with Kieran Morgan on target for the visitors.

    Lyndon Dykes (90 + 8 mins)

    You are joking...

No we're not - Demarai Gray gets a ball into the box and there's Scottish international Lyndon Dykes to get the final touch and surely win it for the visitors.

  8. Postpublished at 16:59 British Summer Time 16 August

    Blackburn 1-1 Birmingham

Ooooh Makhtar Gueye in the 96th minute sees his header well saved by Ryan Allsop.

We still have at least five minutes remaining.

  9. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:59 British Summer Time 16 August

    Bristol City 0-0 Charlton

A point apiece as both sides maintain their unbeaten start to the season.

Could have gone either way but Charlton, as the away side and recently promoted to the Championship, will surely be the happier.

    Sheff Wed 0-3 Stoke

    Stoke celebrateImage source, PA Media

A result that has not been in doubt from basically the first minute, if not before, given Sheffield Wednesday's problems.

Two goals for Million Manhoef and one for Divin Mubama and three easy points for Stoke.

They have two wins from two. Wednesday, not surprisingly given the summer they have had, have lost both their games.

  11. goal

GOAL: Millwall 0-3 Middlesbroughpublished at 16:58 British Summer Time 16 August

    Delano Burgzorg (90+7 mins)

Delano Burgzorg makes it three and away days don't get much better than this for Middlesbrough.

Finn Azaz plays the ball into the area towards fellow sub Burgzorg, who slides it under Steven Benda.

  12. 'It's a wake-up call'published at 16:58 British Summer Time 16 August

    FT: Preston 2-1 Leicester

    Steve Howard
Former Leicester striker on BBC Radio Leicester

Leicester never started, the first-half wasn't good enough.

Sometimes you watch them and you can't work them out, that's a wake-up call for the Championship.

You're away from home, there needs to be more from them, they're like a boxer who needs to be hit five or six times to realise they're in a fight.

They gave a silly goal away and they were all flat.

  13. RED CARDpublished at 16:57 British Summer Time 16 August

    Watford 2-1 QPR

Watford are going to finish this game with 10 players as Imran Louza is sent off for a high challenge on Jonathan Varane.

Not exactly the way Louza would have hoped to mark his 100th appearance in a Hornets shirt - but as it stands his side are on course to claim three points.

  14. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:56 British Summer Time 16 August

    Preston 2-1 Leicester

A first win of the season for Preston despite a record-breaking goal from Leicester's Jeremy Monga.

Alfie Devine scored a fine goal from a narrow angle to give Preston a half-time lead.

Sixteen-year-old Monga has become the youngest scorer in the second tier of English football with his equaliser coming on the 67th minute.

But it was the vastly experienced Milutin Osmajic who grabbed what proved to be the winner for for the home side who gain a first win is six league attempts against the Foxes.

    Millwall 0-2 Middlesbrough

Seven minutes added on at The Den, but Middlesbrough are looking good for victory.

We asked if Rob Edwards' Boro had a soft centre. We think we may have an early answer.

  16. 'We're counting down the minutes'published at 16:55 British Summer Time 16 August

    Sheff Wed 0-3 Stoke

    Mark Elliott
    Stoke City commentator

We're just counting down the minutes here.

It couldn't have gone much better here for Stoke, there's plenty to be pleased about.

  17. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:55 British Summer Time 16 August

Jakub Stolarczyk keeps Leicester alive in stoppage time as he denied Milutin Osmajic a second goal.

Five additional minutes at Vicarage Road, where Watford are hanging on to the 2-1 lead they held at half-time.

Edo Kayembe and Kwadwo Baah have had chances to put the game to bed in these latter stages, but Rangers are going to make their hosts sweat a little longer.
