  1. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:53 British Summer Time 16 August

    Swansea 0-0 Sheff Utd

A Sheffield United side that is being more dogged and determined and harder to beat. Remind me who the manager is?

    Oh yes, Ruben Selles.

More of the ball for Swansea and the only efforts on goal, but we're all level in south Wales.

  2. goal

GOAL: Watford 2-1 QPRpublished at 15:52 British Summer Time 16 August

    Kieran Morgan 45+4 mins

Exactly what Rangers needed on the stroke of half-time!

Paul Smyth's cross is half-cleared to Kieran Morgan and the young midfielder rifles an unstoppable volley into the top corner from distance to halve the deficit.

  3. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:51 British Summer Time 16 August

    Sheff Wed 0-1 Stoke

This could have got very ugly for Sheffield Wednesday after Million Manhoef scored inside a minute for Stoke amidst the protest of the home fans.

But with Lewis Baker hitting the bar and Divin Mubama having an effort cleared off the line, the Owls can still breathe... for now.

  4. 'They'll come out rejuvenated'published at 15:51 British Summer Time 16 August

    Sheff Wed 0-1 Stoke

    Andy Quy
    BBC Radio Stoke summariser

It does feel like Stoke are happy with a 1-0 lead into the break.

It's all about managing the game, it's an important time for them not to concede.

They'll come out rejuvenated, the early goal took the sting out the protest.

  5. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:50 British Summer Time 16 August

    Millwall 0-0 Middlesbrough

A classic first half at The Den, a few bookings, all very close, crowd on top of the action.

    And no goals.

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:49 British Summer Time 16 August

    Blackburn 0-0 Birmingham

Plenty of points for effort, not so many for artistic impression.

Alex Cochrane saw an effort well saved by home goalkeeper Balazs Toth.

We hope it opens up a bit more in the second period.

  7. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:48 British Summer Time 16 August

    Bristol City 0-0 Charlton

City have had more of the ball in the first half, without propelling it into the Charlton net.

Yu Hirakawa went close on the volley after Charlton half-cleared a throw, but for now it remains all square at Ashton Gate.

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:48 British Summer Time 16 August

    Preston 1-0 Leicester

Preston North End's Alfie Devine (right) celebrates scoringImage source, PA Media

Alfie Devine's fine early finish from a very tight angle separates the sides.

Jordan Ayew has sent a header just wide for Leicester but Michael Smith has done likewise for the home side.

Preston will be very satisfied with that first 45.

  9. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:47 British Summer Time 16 August

    Millwall 0-0 Middlesbrough

The referee is being kept busy as he takes a fourth name of the half.

This time it's Boro forward Tommy Conway as he is deemed to have dived by Tom Nield.

  10. Postpublished at 15:46 British Summer Time 16 August

    Blackburn 0-0 Birmingham

Yuri Ribeiro sends in an effort which strikes the crossbar for Blackburn.

Oh, as you were everyone, the flag was up anyway...

  11. 'Preston have been dogged'published at 15:46 British Summer Time 16 August

    Preston 1-0 Leicester

    Steve Howard
Former Leicester striker on BBC Radio Leicester

    Preston have been dogged.

They have wanted it more than Leicester and they've defended really well.

  12. Postpublished at 15:45 British Summer Time 16 August

    Millwall 0-0 Middlesbrough

Not far off half-time and Luke Ayling has done his level-best to make sure the teams go in level.

He stretches his leg on the goalline to keep out Casper de Norre's powerful drive.

The Belgian must have thought he had scored.

  13. Postpublished at 15:42 British Summer Time 16 August

    Sheff Wed 0-1 Stoke

    Ian Woodcock
    BBC Sport at Hillsborough

Brief stoppage here as Sheffield Wednesday skipper Barry Bannan gets some treatment after coming off the worse in a 50-50 challenge.

With their threadbare squad, the Owls cannot afford to lose the influential midfielder.

The Scot is back on his feet and on the pitch now.

  14. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:40 British Summer Time 16 August

    Millwall 0-0 Middlesbrough

And now a third booking for Millwall as Billy Mitchell fouls Aidan Morris.

  15. Postpublished at 15:39 British Summer Time 16 August

    Watford 2-0 QPR

QPR are searching for a response to that quickfire Watford double, but they haven't managed to seriously test Egil Selvik in the home goal yet.

They've had a good amount of the ball but, other than a header from Liam Morrison that was charged down, that hasn't been converted into attempts at goal.

  16. Postpublished at 15:39 British Summer Time 16 August

    Preston 1-0 Leicester

Bilal El Khannouss swings over a free kick for Leicester but Jordan Ayew's header is off target.

Preston goalkeeper Daniel Iversen is yet to make a serious save.

  17. 'Yalcouye looks a talent'published at 15:37 British Summer Time 16 August

    Swansea 0-0 Sheff Utd

    Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at the Swansea.com Stadium

Malick Yalcouye only joined Swansea on loan from Brighton on Thursday and he's straight into the starting line-up.

Brighton have a great track record when it comes to nurturing young talent, and Yalcouye looks like another find.

The 19-year-old has featured prominently in a strong start to this game for his new club, coming close to scoring and generally impressing with his work on and off the ball.

  18. 'Blackburn look a threat'published at 15:37 British Summer Time 16 August

    Blackburn 0-0 Birmingham

    Richard Wilford
    BBC Radio WM commentator

Blackburn look a threat when they come forward, although they're in a weird shape.

There's been a couple of times they've threatened on the break.

  19. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:36 British Summer Time 16 August

    Millwall 0-0 Middlesbrough

No goals but a couple of bookings to note for the home side.

Sammy Silvera is up-ended by Tristan Crama and he gets a yellow, before Josh Coburn gets his name in the notebook for a foul on Luke Ayling.

Coburn is coming up against his boyhood club, of course in this one.
