Need to catch up on today's big team news?

Well, Arsenal's Kai Havertz is nearing a long-awaited return from his hamstring injury.

It would be a risky transfer though as Gunners boss Mikel Arteta said that he would decide on Saturday what part - if any - the German forward might be able to play in Sunday's game at home to Newcastle.

Arteta also said that Declan Rice, Leonardo Trossard, Gabriel Martinelli and Jurrien Timber will be assessed tomorrow.

Magpies defender Sven Botman is a doubt, while Kieran Trippier is unlikely to feature.

Elsewhere, Brighton's Lewis Dunk is back available and his defensive team-mate Igor Julio will be part of the squad to face Liverpool on Monday, while the Seagulls' Kauru Mitoma has a "minor issue".

Arne Slot says it is "too early" to say if Trent Alexander-Arnold will feature at the Amex Stadium.

Everton's Jake O'Brien has recovered from a knee injury and is "fit and available" to face Southampton in the final men's league game at Goodison Park.

  6. 'You should consider some more left field picks like Beto or Vardy'published at 16:47 British Summer Time

Isaac from Oxford: My rank is terrible so I'm chasing some big scores in the final two weeks, thoughts on: Bowen for Salah, Watkins for Strand Larsen and captain Watkins?

Hi Isaac, these moves I love. Bowen is on fire and Watkins faces Spurs at home.

I expect those moves to work well for you.

The only caveat is you said you were chasing massively. Therefore, you should consider some more left-field picks like Beto/Vardy and Enciso, who have great fixtures this week and will be more differential than Watkins and Bowen.

To be clear, I prefer Watkins and Bowen... but the examples I gave will be more differential.

  8. 'A lot will get Watkins in particular'published at 16:45 British Summer Time

    FPL Q&A

Fantasy Premier League expert with seven top-30k finishes

Luke: Hi, I’m narrowly top of a mini league (20 points in front). I know I should sit with what I have but I assume the others will be bringing Watkins and/or Palmer in. Considering taking a -4 and dumping Salah and Marmoush to bring them both in and then Triple Captain Watkins. What do you think? I can’t afford either without selling Salah and taking a -4.

Yes, good idea to block others and I think a lot will get Watkins in particular. So, yes, get both, block people and the Triple Captain Watkins, which should secure you your mini-league win.

  9. 'You don't need to double up with Milenkovic'published at 16:42 British Summer Time

    FPL Q&A

    FPL Heisenberg
Fantasy Premier League expert with seven top-30k finishes

What do you think of Forest's defensive assets this week? Currently have Milenkovic benched for O'Brien but Sels in for Alisson.

Yeah I agree with this 100%. O'Brien vs Southampton has to start and then out of your goalkeepers you've made the correct choice too.

You've got the Forest clean sheet covered, you don't need to double up with Milenkovic too.

    FPL Q&A

    FPL Heisenberg

I am five points behind my uncle in our family league after finishing third from bottom last season. Made my transfer of Isak to Watkins, just unsure over starting Bowen or Mac Allister, what do you reckon?

Tell Unc you're coming for him!

I'd start Bowen over Mac Allister. With your bench order I'd swap that around though. Move Mac Allister to first sub, Guehi second sub and Schar third sub.

  11. 'I don't think I'd bench Haaland if I had him'published at 16:38 British Summer Time

    FPL Q&A

    FPL Heisenberg
Fantasy Premier League expert with seven top-30k finishes

Paul: Seems crazy to leave a player of Haaland's value on the bench, but is it worth the risk?

Hmm, I don't think I'd bench Haaland if I had him. Your other midfielders and forward must be super strong to consider that.

Haaland is a nice differential for now and although he's off the back of an injury I'd still play him as I know he's capable of scoring braces and hat-tricks with ease.

  12. 'I'd bench Kerkez away to Man City'published at 16:36 British Summer Time

    FPL Q&A

    FPL Heisenberg
Fantasy Premier League expert with seven top-30k finishes

Luke: Please help me decide on a back three out of these four players - Van Dijk, Mykolenko, Coady, and Kerkez. Need to make up a 15-point lead this week!

Out of those four based on the fixtures I'd bench Kerkez away to Manchester City, simply because that is the most difficult fixture for the clean sheet, in my opinion.

  13. 'Wissa unfortunately will have to miss out'published at 16:34 British Summer Time

    FPL Q&A

    FPL Heisenberg
Fantasy Premier League expert with seven top-30k finishes

I have the dilemma of choosing two of these three (I'm on a Free Hit): Rogers, Eze, Wissa. Already own Mbuemo and Watkins. Who misses out?

I'd go for Eze and Rogers, meaning Wissa unfortunately will have to miss out.

All great options but Rogers vs a poor Spurs side and Eze's form mean that I favour those two.

I mentioned my FPL nightmare of sticking with Haaland over Salah, well I also plumped for Wissa over Mbuemo.

Both Brentford players have scooped plenty of points this season, but Bryan has just had the edge over his team-mate...

    FPL Q&A with FPL Heisenberg

FPL teamImage source, Fantasy Premier League

The manager of our listeners’ team this week, Scott, has decided to bring Jamie Vardy into the squad for his final game for Leicester at home to Ipswich.

We already know he won’t feature in the last game of the season away to Bournemouth but the romantic narrative of Vardy scoring his 200th goal in his 500th game for the club has been too strong to resist.

It also leaves a handy £2.7m in the bank for the next manager to use in the last gameweek of the season.

The team already has Morgan Rogers and Ollie Watkins in place for Aston Villa against Tottenham tonight but Scott has decided to give the armband to Bryan Mbeumo for Brentford’s home game against Fulham.

The listeners are 58 points off top spot in the Fantasy 606 mini-league so the title now looks like a long shot but that’s some effort from them this season given that it’s a different listener who manages the team each week so it’s obviously very tricky to coordinate strategy and the longer-term approach.

Next season we’re planning to have a UK listeners’ team and a Rest of the World listeners’ team just to set up a bit of extra competition in the mini-league so if you’d like to come on the podcast and have a go at managing either of those teams, depending on where you come from, then send us an email on fantasy606@bbc.co.uk

  16. Second in the world tops the BBC Sport leaguepublished at 16:28 British Summer Time

    Alistair Bruce-Ball
Commentator on BBC Radio 5 Live

It looks like the winner of the prestigious BBC Sport league is going to be our maths teacher from Lancashire, Max Littleproud.

He’s now got a 65-point lead with two gameweeks to go and is currently ranked 2nd in the world.

He took the risk of selling Mo Salah for Kevin Schade in gameweek 36 so he could bring Erling Haaland in to captain him away to Southampton – it didn’t quite come off although Schade did his bit by scoring again for Brentford but Max still managed 72 points to continue what’s been a remarkable season for him.

    FPL Q&A with FPL Heisenberg

    Alistair Bruce-Ball
Commentator on BBC Radio 5 Live

We’re at the point in the season where the FPL advice you’re looking for really needs to be tailor-made for your individual situation – whether you’re holding onto a lead in a mini-league or chasing to catch up, whether you’re trying to win a game against a specific opponent in a cup or a head-to-head league, or whether you’re just trying to climb the overall rankings.

That’s where a Q&A session like this one can work so well.

We agreed on the Fantasy 606 podcast this week though that tonight’s Premier League games can definitely be targetted with both Tottenham and Manchester United looking vulnerable as their main focus is now on next week’s Europa League final in Bilbao.

That makes the likes of Ollie Watkins, Morgan Rogers and Cole Palmer very desirable assets but if you’re also looking for a differential in those games then you could get lucky if you land on the right one from the likes of Marco Asensio, John McGinn, Enzo Fernandez, Pedro Neto or Noni Madueke.

I particularly like Neto out of that lot and he might even be starting through the middle for Chelsea with Nicolas Jackson suspended.

I wouldn’t be bothering with transfers on goalkeepers or defenders at this point because you’re more likely to get your big points hauls further up the field.

    FPL Q&A

Just wanted to know what changes to make! I had a terrible last week, thank you.

Start Palmer over Murphy. If you have the money, go Mateta to Isak.

If not, Murphy to Rogers and player Rogers over Mateta.

Captain whichever Villa asset you end up getting out of Rogers and Watkins, or consider Palmer.

A 'hail Mary' captain...I bet there will be a few of those this week.

A Triple Captain claiming a four-goal haul wouldn't come close to fixing my team.

Sadly I stuck with Haaland when everyone else jumped on the Salah bandwagon. Doh!

My season was over by December...

  20. 'If you need a hail mary captain then you can go for Beto'published at 16:18 British Summer Time

    FPL Q&A

    FPL Heisenberg
Fantasy Premier League expert with seven top-30k finishes

Anon: Decided to take a risk with the Beto differential this week to gain a few spots in the table. Now the big question is who do I captain?

Love the Beto gamble - he's a player I wanted for my own team this week but couldn't squeeze him in! If you need a 'hail Mary' captain then you can go for Beto. Looking at all your midfielders and forwards, he's the one with the best fixture too.
