As a neutral I'm 100% supporting Palace...but as someone who only lives a few miles from Brighton I'll also be keeping my head down.

  2. Man City can't 'confuse' season as success - Guardiolapublished at 08:00 British Summer Time 16 May

Boss Pep Guardiola has told Manchester City they cannot get "confused" this season has been a success after reaching the FA Cup final.

Rico Lewis and Josko Gvardiol were on target as City beat Nottingham Forest to book a date with Crystal Palace on Saturday, 17 May.

It will be their third straight FA Cup final and the chance of an eighth success in the competition, while Palace have never won a major trophy.

The competition is also City's only chance of major silverware this season, apart from the Community Shield, as their run of four straight Premier League titles ended with Liverpool officially crowned champions on Sunday.

With his side fourth in the table, 21 points adrift of Arne Slot's side, Guardiola warned an FA Cup triumph, and reaching next season's Champions League with a top-five finish, will not be enough to mask a disappointing campaign.

Morning everyone. £7 to spend time with us. Still trying to work out is that's value for money...

Obviously I want Palace to win. With Forest doing well in the league, Newcastle winning the cup and Villa going far in the CL it's been the most refreshing season in many years. Long may it continue. Football in this country has been stale for far too long with the same names involved all the time.

Morning Joe, it’s costing me £7.00 per day to join you guys here from Turkey on my hols! I’ll be supporting Palace all the way. Not exactly neutral (LFC fan), but would love to see Palace get this one.

Morning! As a neutral just hope it's a great final and the best team on the day lifts the cup. I think Man City might have the edge but if Palace turn up they have a real chance. The Toon did it in the League Cup so Palace can take heart. City can end a really disappointing season on a high. Good luck to them both. Bring it on!!

It’s going to be a strange day for me. A Palace fan since childhood, but with a season ticket for my adopted local Scottish team of Bonnyrigg, who are playing on the same day. This is to avoid relegation from the league. I still don’t know which match I’m going to miss 20 minutes of! Belief in one, hope in the other.

Thanks, Adam. We'll have plenty of time to properly reminisce over Crystal Palace's two previous FA Cup final appearances. They are:

1989-90: Manchester United 3-3 Crystal Palace (Man Utd won the replay 1-0)

2015-16: Manchester United 2-1 Crystal Palace (after extra time)

I have to believe its 3rd time lucky for Palace in the FA Cup final. This is the best team they've had with the best manager they've had. Yes, Man City are an amazing team, but if you were to pick a season to play them in a final, it would probably be this one!

Thanks, Tom. I lost my individual battle with the fridge this morning. Wasn't properly focused and struggled to get it open at the first attempt.

As for the live I don't think I've made any mistakes so far. Unless you count the Full Members Cup as a major trophy win, which most don't.

Morning Joe! I'll be a neutral hoping Palace win - they're an excellent team to watch in full flow, with quality throughout the side. Imagine what it would mean to the fans; the scenes would be wonderful! Hopefully a new name on the trophy would encourage teams in mid-table to take the cup more seriously too. Let's have a strong start from you today, Joe; win your individual battles, nothing silly in the first five minutes. May the odds be ever in your favour.

Good to have you with us and remember you can join our little community by having your say using the usual methods above.

How do you rate both Manchester City and Crystal Palace's chances? And, are there any neutrals out there that don't want Palace to win their first ever major trophy?

In fact, if you're not a Manchester City or Palace fan, who will you be supporting and why?

    Hello!

    How we all doing?

So much football this weekend to build-up to - we'll have plenty of club news conferences to come.

We'll get to Premier League and FPL chat a little bit later today, but for now I think we should start fully focused on tomorrow's FA Cup final...
