  1. 'We don't talk about the players we want to bring in'published at 14:34 British Summer Time 16 May

Brighton v Liverpool (Mon, 20:00 BST)

    Liverpool

Liverpool boss Arne Slot on links to Bayer Leverkusen's Jeremie Frimpong: "It is going to be a boring answer. The whole season was about contract extensions of free players and now everyone wants to know which players we are brining in.

"The answer is the same, we don't talk about the players we want to bring in until they have signed for us.

"What I can say is that we have Conor Bradley who can play the position really well and Joe Gomez has played there multiple times. It is not like Trent Alexander-Arnold is leaving and I have no idea what to do."

There is one main story that has been dominating the Liverpool agenda this week and it's not Reds boss Arne Slot being pictured in Ibiza celebrating his team's Premier League title win.

The story in question is, of course, about Trent Alexander-Arnold.

He was booed when he came on as a substitute for the Premier League champions against Arsenal last Sunday in his first game since announcing he was leaving the Reds at the end of his contract in the summer.

There was also some applause for the England international but the reaction to him from Liverpool fans has been a big talking point.

Slot will be speaking to the media at 13:30 BST today prior to his side's visit to Brighton on Monday so we'll find out his thoughts on the situation.

Will he continue to play Alexander-Arnold? And what about his participation in the final home game of the season at Anfield against Crystal Palace when Liverpool will lift the Premier League trophy a day before an open-top bus parade?

It looks like Liverpool are closing in on a move for Bayer Leverkusen's Jeremie Frimpong, who plays down the right flank, so we'll find out if Slot has any news on that as well.

  4. 'We have confidence that we will create our chances'published at 14:27 British Summer Time 16 May

Crystal Palace v Man City (Sat, 16:30 BST)

    Crystal Palace

More from Oliver Glasner on scoring two goals against Manchester City in each of their last three league games, but only having one point to show for it: "Since I arrived we have played them three times. In every single game we have scored two goals, but we just have one draw because we have conceded four, two and five.

"We have to make adjustments in our defending because when you concede five [goals] it's tough to win, but when you score two you should be able to win.

"We have confidence that we will create our chances and situations to score goals, but we have to do better in defence.

"I don't mean the back three or back five, but as a team. So we have to adjust a few things and this is what we want to do tomorrow."

  5. 'Man City are back in shape again'published at 14:24 British Summer Time 16 May

Crystal Palace v Man City (Sat, 16:30 BST)

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner on whether he has a plan on how to beat Manchester City: "On the screen we always win every single game. When we analyse the game on the TV we always have the right solutions, but it's not so easy sometimes to execute it in the right way."

On the recent form of Saturday's opponents: "They [Manchester City] are back in shape again. They have had some very good results for the last couple of weeks, players coming back from injury...We have to find the right solution. When we know what they want to do then it's how we react, but we are still confident that we are able to score a goal."

  6. 'Rodri is much better'published at 14:21 British Summer Time 16 May

Crystal Palace v Man City (Sat,16.30 BST)

    Manchester City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola on Rodri: "He is much, much better. I am waiting for the doctors. When they tell me he is ready he is going to start. We don't want to take a risk and take a step back."

And on Kevin de Bruyne and if he will start this weekend and next week: "I am thinking just about tomorrow. I select the team the best they play to beat them."

  7. 'Trophy win is massively important'published at 14:17 British Summer Time 16 May

Crystal Palace v Man City (Sat,16.30 BST)

    Manchester City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola on if he has spoken to the side about not having a slow start against Crystal Palace: "We didn't start slow [when City went 2-0 down to Palace the last time they played each other]. We played well in the beginning but of course in one set piece that we didn't defend well [they went ahead]. But before that we were good."

And he added on how important it is to keep adding trophies to City's cabinet: "That is the problem now right, the FA Cup is not the first choice [Pep says with a smirk]. Of course we want it. Once we are here of course we want the trophy. It is massively important."

  8. 'Palace are a threat because they have quality'published at 14:14 British Summer Time 16 May

Crystal Palace v Man City (Sat,16.30 BST)

    Manchester City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was also asked what threat Crystal Palace's attack will bring: "They are a threat because they have quality. [Jean-Philippe] Mateta is strong and the quality in [Eberechi] Eze is obvious and of course the pace from [Ismaila] Sarr.

"Sarr against Aston Villa in the semi-finals they punished them a lot, incredible pace. But not just him, Munoz, [Adam] Wharton is really good holding midfielder who links well inside. They are well structured defensively and their set pieces is one of the best in the Premier League. It's a final. If we play against Palace or Aston Villa it would be the same. It's a final, we cannot expect anything different."

  9. 'When it happens we can talk about it' - Glasner on ending Palace's wait for silverwarepublished at 14:11 British Summer Time 16 May

Crystal Palace v Man City (Sat, 16:30 BST)

    Crystal Palace

Oliver Glasner was asked what it would mean to him to end Crystal Palace's long wait for silverware.

"You can ask me after the game - I don't talk about this because we haven't won anything," he replied.

"We have a great game in front of us but I don't IF this happens, IF this happens, IF this happens. So WHEN it happens we can talk about it.

"We have a great game, we feel well-prepared for this game. We will give our best, every single one, as long as he's playing or even if he's not playing and supporting the team. This is what we can do. This is the only thing we can do and then let's see.

"This is the same approach as before the semi-finals and the quarter-finals...we had the same approach.

"Show who we are, show how we want to play and try to win the game. this will be the same tomorrow. We will try to win the game as Crystal Palace, what made us successful and let's see, because then it is football."

Third time in a row being there and we have to perform well. We travel to London to win the title."

Crystal Palace v Man City (Sat, 16:30 BST)

    Shamoon Hafez
    BBC Sport football news reporter

It's a monumental four days in Manchester City's season, one in which they have fallen below their high standards.

Pep Guardiola's side face Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday, their only hope of collecting a major trophy this season. The Spanish boss, though, said they are going for their "second" piece of silverware after winning the Community Shield in August.

Then on Tuesday, City host Bournemouth in the race for the top five, knowing they will play in the Champions League next season if Aston Villa fail to beat Tottenham tonight then defeating the Cherries next week.

Guardiola has already said the season has not been good enough, but will he change his mind with a good end to the campaign?

And what of Erling Haaland's comments to BBC Sport this week saying the season has been "horrific" and "boring"?

We'll find out when he faces the cameras soon.

We all know how good Man City are and their quality. Like the manager said, we will focus on ourselves, on doing the best we can for the fans."

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner on how he and his side are preparing for the FA Cup final: "It feels like a normal game. There’s much more attention and interviews to do during the week, but our preparations have been more or less the same as for a Premier League game, like they were for the semi-final and quarter-final.

“We focused on what we want to do tomorrow, we analysed Manchester City, but 90% we talked about us.

"We can influence what we want to do. The focus was on our game, and maybe having one or two small adjustments, because the players did very well in the last couple of weeks.

"We have a lot of confidence and are looking forward to the final."

Winning the FA Cup tomorrow might have a more significant impact than many people think for Palace. We've traditionally been a selling club, constantly having to rebuild our squad, having been stripped of our best players in the summer window, who (understandably) want to play regularly in Europe and at international level. We now have several experienced internationals in the squad, so win that trophy tomorrow, and it'll prove that being at Palace can help fulfill those ambitions. It will also help us attract new talent as it'll show that we're a serious prospect for potential players.

Arsenal v Newcastle (Sun, 16:30 BST)

On it being the final game of the season and a chance to qualify for next season's Champions League, Mikel Arteta said: "It’s been a phenomenal effort form all of them under the circumstances. Last home game is always a special occasion and it is our chance to wrap up Champions League qualification.

"A beautiful moment to say thank you to all of our supporters who have been on every journey and in every ground.

"It is maybe the biggest and best day in the season when you can say thank you to them and they can show what they think of the team."

I echo Rob's sentiments (13:08), a City win would be perfect - it doesn't matter how many times we have been here, winning the FA Cup is still special and will remain so, but if we lose to Palace fair and square then they will deserve all the credit they get. They're a good team - brilliant to watch at times, and have a great set of fans too. Looking forward to it.
