Think Palace have a solid chance in the final, they've got a great attacking side that can trouble anyone on their day (as I've unfortunately found a few times this season as a Villa fan...)

Where to start? 120 years of club history and I have been following them for half of that time. I have seen us win (and lose) in play-off finals, win (and lose) in FA Cup semi-finals, and lose in Cup finals. Arguably our most important match was beating Sheff W in 2010 to stay in the Championship and avoid potential bankruptcy. But a win tomorrow would be our greatest day and one we have been dreaming of for so long. The nerves are seriously kicking in.

Erling Haaland on meeting Neil Warnock: "He's a legend of the game. I didn't know he was there so I was like, 'huh?'

"He's a funny guy, he has an old school way a little bit. I agree with a lot of things he says because I am also a little bit old school because of my father.

"Sometimes you have to kick and run a little bit which was a lot of his tactics in the former days. I totally agree with that, just kick and run.

"We spoke a lot about different things, and of course football because we both love football."

Striker Erling Haaland has described Manchester City's season as "horrific" and "boring" but hopes it can end with another trophy.

For many clubs, reaching the FA Cup final and being on the brink of Champions League qualification would be a successful campaign. Not for Manchester City.

Haaland, 24, had been in a race to be fit for Saturday's final against Crystal Palace at Wembley on Saturday - after missing seven games with an ankle injury - but started City's goalless draw with Southampton.

"This season has been tough," he told BBC Sport. "It is not nice to lose so many games. It is boring and not fun. That's why we need to finish well and get a trophy.

"It is a good habit to reach Wembley and always important to win trophies. We have the FA Cup final to play for and in a horrific season we still managed to do this."

As a lifelong city fan of over 40 years I obviously want us to win. However if we were to lose, fair play to palace who are a great team to watch and deserve a trophy. Also their fans are the most passionate in England- and yes that includes Liverpool.

As a City fan reading these messages come in, it’s funny seeing just how bitter people are towards us now. The idea that an FA Cup win would mean ‘more’ to Palace fans is laughable, every trophy we have won has been magical and long may it continue!

And so we come to Crystal Palace's most recent win over Manchester City.

Patrick Viera's side headed to the Etihad firmly as underdogs and were on a run of four successive draws.

But, Wilfred Zaha was quick to take advantage of some poor defending to put the Eagles in-front with just six minutes on the clock.

The Ivorian pouncing on a mistake from Aymeric Laporte before exchanging passes with Conor Gallagher and guiding the ball into the bottom left-hand corner. The goal saw Zaha become the first player to score 50 top-flight goals for Palace.

Laporte's afternoon would then get even worse when he was was red-carded by referee Andre Marriner in first-half stoppage time.

And after playing the entire second half against 10 men, Gallagher's neat finish two minutes from time wrapped up the three points for Palace.

Pep Guardiola's side were chasing back-to-back league titles, and although Ilkay Gundogan opened the scoring, the game would turn on its head in two frantic first-half minutes.

First, Jeffrey Schlupp levelled the match for the Eagles with a shot from outside the area. Then came a moment of magic from Andros Townsend, as the winger lashed in a left-footed volley from 30 yards - the goal going on to win the Premier League's goal of the season.

Luka Milivojevic extended Palace's lead from the penalty spot just after the break, and despite a late goal from Kevin De Bruyne, Palace held on for their first away win against City in 28 years.

Jason Puncheon, pictured, then doubled that lead with a brilliant free-kick after the break.

Yaya Toure grabbed a consolation for the visitors but Palace were able to hold on.

Crystal Palace and Manchester City have faced each other four times in the FA Cup.

Palace won their very first meeting - in January, 1921 - but have lost their last three FA Cup ties against City.

Their last defeat came in the fourth round eight years ago, when Raheem Sterling, Leroy Sane and Yaya Toure scored in a 3-0 win at Selhurst Park.

City also hold the edge across all competitions, winning 39 of their 73 matches. Palace have 17 wins, while there have also been 17 draws.

In fact, the seven-time FA Cup winners are unbeaten in their last seven matches against Palace, their last defeat coming in the Premier League at the Etihad in October 2021.

However, the Eagles have enjoyed some notable victories over the years, coming up we will look at three of the most memorable...
