Leicester City manager Ruud van Nilsterooy on striker Jamie Vardy, who will play in his final game for the club on Sunday: "When you see the amount of times a player is performing at the highest level, that's the biggest achievement.

"When you've performed 13 seasons at this level, coming up to 500 games, 200 goals, that says it all. The standards you set yourself, you live your life around football and how you perform.

    Back to Eddie....

Newcastle manager Eddie Howe spoke earlier to the media about the club's plans to change their crest.

On hearing the news: "It was one of surprise, because I had no idea myself. I'll be interested to see it, what that actually looks like.

"I've said many times, whether talking about St James' Park or whatever the theme, I'm a great believer in respecting tradition and history.

"But then, you have to try and move forward. If something needs to be changed for the betterment of the club, then I'm all for that.

"The great thing that I took from it was the collaboration between the supporters - that has to be there. It cannot be done without their consent."

More money chat. Jack Grealish is Manchester City's record transfer. He joined from Aston Villa for £100m in 2021. He'll probably be on the bench on Saturday.

Crystal Palace's record transfer is Christian Benteke who joined for £32m from Liverpool in August, 2016.

It's going to be a proper David vs Goliath FA Cup final.

Now, I appreciate numbers and money can only tell you so much, but....

I've just had a dig into Transfermarkt's stats and they value Manchester City's entire squad at £1.13 billion.

Whereas, Crystal Palace's squad market value is £371.5 million.

Or, put another way, according to the stattos at Transfermarkt, a combination of Erling Haaland (£168m), Rodri (£109m) and Phil Foden (£109m) are worth more in the market than Palace's entire squad.

Hoping for a tight game, last-minute equaliser and pens, with Palace just sneaking it - hopefully to leave City feeling a bit down so they drop points to Bournemouth on Tuesday.

Eberechi Eze: Why I play football the way I do

Let go by Arsenal. Released by Fulham and Reading. Trials at Bristol City and Sunderland that came to nothing. Told by Millwall: "thanks, but no thanks." All before the age of 18.

It would have been easy for Eberechi Eze to give up on his dream of becoming a professional footballer.

After all, the youngster from a council estate in Greenwich, south-east London, had experienced nothing but pain, frustration and crushing rejection.

"I remember facing Arsenal a few months after being released by them [at the age of 13] and welling up because of all the emotions and not dealing properly with the feelings of being released," says Eze.

"I didn't know how to process it. I had tears ready to pour down my face."
