    Fulham v Brentford (20:00 GMT)

    Fulham

Marco Silva will be without midfielder Sasa Lukic for tonight's visit of Brentford after he was ruled out until after the November international break with a shoulder problem.

However, Timothy Castagne is expected to be in the matchday squad after recovering from a hamstring injury and Joachim Andersen is available for selection after serving his suspension for the red card he was shown against Aston Villa.

Issa Diop deputised for the Denmark international alongside Calvin Bassey in central defence for last weekend's 1-1 draw at Everton.

    Fulham v Brentford (20:00 GMT)

    Brentford

Thomas Frank will hope to have defender Kristoffer Ajer fit for tonight's visit to Craven Cottage after missing games against Ipswich and Sheffield Wednesday with a minor foot injury.

Frank said the Norway international has "a big chance" to feature and has trained over the last few days.

Elsewhere, midfielder Christian Norgaard is available for selection, having been rested for the Carabao Cup win.

Rico Henry, Igor Thiago and Gustavo Nunes remain sidelined, while Aaron Hickey and Josh Dasilva are the Bees' longer-term absentees.

  4. Fulham's season so farpublished at 15:22 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November

    Fulham v Brentford (20:00)

After a flying start to the season and finding themselves sixth after six games, Fulham are without a win in their last three.

Marco Silva's side have a wonderfully uniform record after their opening nine games, winning three, drawing three and losing three. The symmetry continues with their goal difference of zero, having both scored and conceded 12.

Major positives for the Cottagers have included a return to goalscoring form for striker Raul Jimenez - who has four already - and an encouraging start for record signing Emile Smith Rowe after his club record move from Arsenal in the summer.

  5. Forest owner Marinakis loses five-game stadium ban appealpublished at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November

    Nick Mashiter
    BBC Sport football news reporter

Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis has lost his appeal against a five-game stadium ban.

The 57-year-old was found guilty of improper conduct for spitting on the floor as the match officials walked past following Forest's 1-0 Premier League defeat by Fulham at the City Ground on 28 September.

In publishing its written reasons behind the decision, the commission said there was "no excuse" for such an "an egregious display of disrespectful behaviour" that could "fuel disrespect towards match officials."

Marinakis, who has already served three of the games, denied the charge.

"An Appeal Board has dismissed an appeal by Nottingham Forest’s Evangelos Marinakis in relation to misconduct at their Premier League fixture on Saturday 28 September against Fulham," read a Football Association statement.

"It was alleged that the behaviour of Evangelos Marinakis around the tunnel area after full time of that match was improper. He denied this charge, but it was found proven by an independent Regulatory Commission, and a five-match stadium/ground suspension was imposed."

  6. Brentford's season so farpublished at 15:19 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November

    Fuham v Brentford

Brentford under Thomas Frank continue to go from strength to strength in the Premier League.

The Bees would move back into the top half with a win tonight at Craven Cottage and reached the Carabao Cup quarter-finals with a penalty shoot-out victory over Sheffield Wednesday last week.

There has been no sign of missing main man Ivan Toney, who moved to Saudi Arabia in the summer, with Bryan Mbuemo and Yoanna Wissa stepping up their output after replacement striker Igor Thiago suffered a serious knee injury in August.

Only Erling Haaland has scored more than Mbuemo's eight so far in the Premier League and Wissa's double last time out against Ipswich took him up to five.

  7. Frank and Silva trade niceties before West London derbypublished at 15:18 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November

    Fulham v Brentford (20:00 GMT)

Fulham manager and Brentford boss Thomas Frank spoke in glowing terms about each other in their respective news conferences before tonight's West London derby at Craven Cottage.

The two sides sit close geographically but also in league position with a point separating the Bees in 11th and the Cottagers in 12th.

"Fulham have done very well over the last few years, I think Marco Silva and his coaching staff have done a top job in the way they have built them," Frank said about his opposite number pre-match.

"They have started this season flying and they have probably deserved more points than they've got so far."

Silva was quick to reciprocate in his own news conference: "It’s been a great, great job from him. He's a top person, he's always really nice to play against and to share some ideas before and after the match.

"Brilliant job, from the Championship, what he's been doing in that football club, the way he's been able always to add different things."

    Your 15 minute warning!

Liverpool boss Arne Slot will speak to the media at 15:30 GMT before tomorrow's Champions League match at home to Bayer Leverkusen. You can watch it here, by clicking 'Watch live' at the top of this page.

The Reds have won all three of their League Phase games so far and are second in the table.

Leverkusen are managed by former midfielder Xabi Alonso, who lifted the trophy with the Reds in 2005 as a player and won a historic double last season while remaining unbeaten.

  9. Are Forest 'doing a Leicester'?published at 15:11 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November

    Nottingham Forest

Leicester winning the Premier League was the biggest shock in English football. Nottingham Forest, though, have the exact same record as the Foxes did after 10 games in their title-winning season of 2015/16.

With five wins, four draws and one loss, Forest sit third on 19 points - six behind leaders Liverpool.

You would expect Forest's form to level off at some point but football is a funny old game.

  10. Forest face tough next 10 gamespublished at 15:07 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November

    Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest have worked wonders to be third in the Premier League after 10 matches. Who'd have thought it?

Statistically, Forest's first 10 fixtures have been the fourth easiest whereas their next 10 will be the fourth toughest.

  11. Forest owner Marinakis loses appealpublished at 15:03 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November

Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis has lost his appeal against the five-match stadium he received for spitting on the floor as match officials walked past in the tunnel after the 1-0 loss to Fulham in September.

An independent commission in mid-October handed Marinakis the ban, which he contested he "felt a cough coming and he coughed on the floor, down and to his right which was away from the path the officials were taking”.

  12. Forest's huge set-piece improvementpublished at 14:59 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November

    Nottingham Forest

Chris Wood's form up front has been mirrored by improvements in defence, particularly at set pieces.

Nottingham Forest fans would shudder at the thought of a set piece being awarded against them last season.

Forest had an xG of 12.65 for 2023/24 but have conceded just once this term.

The signing of Nikola Milenkovic from Fiorentina in the summer has played a huge role in Forest's set-piece revival with the six foot five inch defender getting his head to everything.

  13. 'I'm delighted for Wood'published at 14:56 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November

    Nottm Forest 3-0 West Ham

    Gus Poyet
Former Chelsea midfielder & Brighton manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

People might not know this but I had Chris Wood on loan when he was 19 at Brighton in League One. Imagine, Woody in League One!

It was difficult to predict, I'm not going to be the hero now and say I could see him scoring this many goals in the Premier League. But, he was already a guy who loved to score, to pay attention, to play very well, and he helped me a lot.

I'm delighted for him and the form he is in now.

Even as a Derby fan, it would be great to see a team like Forest representing England in Europe next season.

  15. 'Wood has been fantastic'published at 14:47 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November

    David Moyes
Former West Ham manager on the Football Daily podcast

Chris Wood has been fantastic and I'm really pleased because he's come through 'in a time when] there's been a bit of a lack of the [traditional] target man. Morgan Gibbs-White is [another] good player [at Forest]. I think they've got a really balanced team. The manager took time to settle. There are some really good teams below them so that means it's going to take some holding on to.

  16. Wood firing Forest up the tablepublished at 14:44 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November

    Nottingham Forest

One striker bucking that trend is Chris Wood, who is the talk of the Premier League at the moment.

The Nottingham Forest striker has bagged eight goals so far - only Manchester City's Erling Haaland has more with 11.

The New Zealander has an incredible 38% shot conversion rate - leading the way with Brentford's Bryan Mbuemo and Yoane Wissa - and a 67% shot accuracy, which is on a par with Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah.

Since Nuno Espírito Santo was appointed Forest manager, Wood has scored 19 times - six of them headers.

  17. Where have the goals gone?published at 14:40 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November

If you thought there'd been fewer goals this season compared to last then you are correct!

There were 303 goals scored at this stage last campaign, compared to 285 so far this term.

Unless there are 18 in Fulham v Brentford tonight, that is.

I’ve had Everton down for relegation year after year lately, yet Sean Dyche, despite the problems at Everton, has kept them up despite being hamstrung. While he may not be every Evertonian's cup of tea, I think all any Everton fan could have wished for recently is to stay in the top flight and Dyche has accomplished that. Surely, it would be decent for those fans to offer some thanks for that rather than going on about the style of football or trying to turf him out as quickly as possible. The style of play is the best style he sees given the team he has and it’s worked well enough to remain in the Premier League.

Martin in Derby: Hilarious interview with Mourinho where he talks about being unpleasantly surprised by Turkish football. He clearly doesn't want to be there and, as per a previous interview, wants to be back in the Premier League. Bless him. He could be the new Neil Warnock one day helping underperforming clubs avoid relegation.
