Nuno Espirito Santo was noticeably more relaxed in his pre-match press conference on Friday, a change from the frustrated figure he cut in his previous two.

He will meet Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis after the game to discuss the direction of the club in clear-the-air talks after his recent outbursts.

Forest have spent around £150m and are targeting another goalkeeper and left-back, with deals for Botafogo duo John Victor and Cuiabano edging closer which should appease Nuno.

The Portuguese keeps his cards close to his chest, he only gives something away if he wants to, and it was clear he felt he needed to speak out about his unhappiness with what he perceived to be Forest's slow transfer business.

His achievements at the City Ground have allowed him to speak from a position of strength, having guided Forest into Europe and which saw him sign a new three-year deal in the summer.

    Nobody can play like Ederson.

Gianluigi Donnarumma had a good season with Paris St-Germain and he was instrumental in PSG winning the Champions League.

In the games against Arsenal last season what Donnarumma did well was take the sting out of Arsenal's set-pieces.

He is OK with his feet, but he is not Ederson. Pep has a big decision to make.

Don't know how the West Ham board thought the best way to improve the team was to let Kudus go and now possibly Paqueta too. Oh well, at least Hermansen, Walker-Peters and Fernandes are used to a relegation battle.

On conceding eight goals in the Premier League: "It is a team thing rather than a formation. The manner of the goals we have conceded it is not about tactics - it is about behaviour.

"I said after the Wolves game that was a positive step for us."

    Sue Smith
Former Leeds and England forward on BBC Radio 5 Live

West Ham conceding eight goals in two games is just not good enough.

I think the midfield area is a problem for them and they're getting over-run. Some fans are saying at some point you have to stick with a manager and be patient.

Today, West Ham fans will want to see progression against a very strong Forest side.

  17. How much time does Potter have at West Ham?published at 12:57 British Summer Time 31 August

Nottm Forest v West Ham (14:00 BST)

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport chief football news reporter

For all the noise around Graham Potter, the interesting thing is West Ham, historically, are not a sacking club. If they end up in a mess, owner David Sullivan's first reaction, usually, is to demand the manager gets the club out of it.

That is not to say Potter has unlimited time. If Sullivan feels no progress is being made, he will make a decision.

The other point to remember, at the moment, is that Kyle Macaulay, a long-time associate of Potter, is now West Ham's director of recruitment. Clearly, we are still in a transfer window and the Hammers are trying to buy players.

Unless all the responsibility for this has been taken out of Macauley's hands - and there is no suggestion that is the case - Potter is presumably heavily involved.
