  1. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December

    Ipswich Town 0-0 Crystal Palace

Dean Henderson is finally called into action in the Palace goal. Again Ipswich's best work comes from a Leif Davis inswinging corner from the right and Harry Clarke gets there at the near post to head at goal. It would've gone in too, had it not been for some excellent reactions from Henderson.

What are Leicester’s expectations for this season? Cooper had them outside the bottom three, but that wasn’t good enough. They’ve gambled big on RvN, who has no experience of relegation battles. I guess it’s mid table or bust.

Understandably, new Leicester boss Ruud van Nistelrooy gets a great reception when he walks out the tunnel.

    Almost time.

New boss Ruud Van Nistelrooy has stamped his authority on the side instantly after watching Leicester's poor display at Brentford.

He defended the squad when asked if he saw enough leadership from the players in the 4-1 defeat on Saturday, saying he had done his homework and he was inheriting good people.

But he has benched centre-back Wout Faes, the first time the defender has been dropped in the Premier League this season, while attacking midfielder Bilal El Khannouss is handed just his fourth league start.

Wes Burns does really, really well to get back there. He knows Eberechi Eze was in behind him and he gets inside the flight of the ball so that as Eze gets the shot off Burns gets a touch on it to take it into Aro Muric's hands.

There's the first real chance of the match and it falls to the man Palace want it to as Eberechi Eze is charging through on goal.

He is chased all the way by Ipswich's Wes Burns, who does superbly to get a foot to the shot and that wipes out some of its power, with goalkeeper Arijanet Muric doing the rest.

Crystal Palace have been very, very good in control of the ball.

  9. 'Van Nistelrooy has made two big changes defensively'published at 20:06 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December

    Paul Robinson
Former England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

I'm not so sure how much input Ruud van Nistelrooy had in the team shape and lineup at the weekend, if any but defensive vulnerabilities have been their Achilles heel for a long time.

When you look at his record at PSV his teams were quite pragmatic at times and they won games by being solid at the back and hitting on the counter.

He has made two big decisions tonight and they are both defensive.

  10. 'A big, big chance for Palace'published at 20:04 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December

That was a big chance. It was only the fact that Trevoh Chalobah was under so much pressure that he missed it. As the ball was played inside the six yard box he just couldn't control it. A big, big chance for Palace.

It's always great when you have a manager who played in the same position as you. They should be able to have a few conversations and help Jamie Vardy score a few more goals.

There's not been much action to excite either set of fans so far and Eberechi Eze looks to liven things up. He jinks and looks to create some space. He lays it back to Cheick Doucoure and the ball is travelling at pace, only for Jacob Greaves to get in the way and take the full force of the shot. Brave defending.

Ipswich are just struggling a bit to get control of the game at the moment. Every time they get the ball they seem to lose it.

When Ipswich play out from the back Palace are happy to sit off until the ball goes to one of the full backs and that is the signal to press - that is where they are having the most joy.

I'm feeling positive about Ruud van Nistelrooy, but unsure what is going to happen at the same time.

He could play really defensively, he could play really offensively, no one really knows. The one big thing for Leicester is the amount of goals they ship. I think that will be a real concern for him and something for him to stop.

  15. YELLOW CARDpublished at 19:54 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December

    Ipswich Town 0-0 Crystal Palace

The Eberechi Eze corner comes to nothing and Palace's Cheick Doucoure becomes the second player booked in a couple of minutes, again no complaints after shoving an escaping Jack Clarke to the turf.

  16. 'Definite foul'published at 19:53 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December

    Ipswich 0-0 Crystal Palace

    Mark Schwarzer
Former Premier League goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

The minute Ismaila Sarr gets off the shoulder he just rolls Dara O'Shea and it is a definite foul. The referee has to show the yellow card there and does and there are no complaints from Ipswich.

  17. Postpublished at 19:53 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December

    Ipswich Town 0-0 Crystal Palace

Dara O'Shea clumsily brings Ismaila Sarr to the ground as the Palace man was looking to sprint down the right wing. A card for O'Shea and he can have no complaints.

He then does well to head the dangerous free-kick behind for a corner, which Eberechi Eze will take.

  18. 'Both sides dealing very well with press'published at 19:51 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December

You can see that both sides are looking to play out from the back. The minute that Palace try to play out Ipswich players are on their bikes, really trying to put a lot of pressure on them. So far both sides are dealing with the press very well.

Crystal Palace skipper Marc Guehi is wearing an armband which has 'Jesus loves you' written on it.

At the weekend, Guehi's rainbow captain's armband for Palace's draw against Newcastle United had the message 'I love Jesus' written on it.

Guehi's actions on Saturday risked a formal FA charge. Rule A4 of the FA's kit and advertising regulations prohibit the "appearance on, or incorporation in, any item of clothing, football boots or other equipment of any religious message".

Ipswich Town captain Sam Morsy is not wearing a rainbow armband tonight.

He also chose not to wear a rainbow armband in Saturday's Premier League loss at Nottingham Forest, which his club has said was because of his "religious beliefs".

Rainbow armbands are being worn as part of Premier League clubs showing their support for LGBTQ+ inclusion in sport by taking part in charity Stonewall's Rainbow Laces campaign between 29 November and 5 December.
