Jean-Philippe Mateta does exceptionally well under a lot of pressure from Jacob Greaves. He almost falls over but manages to steady himself and get the finish off.

He has Arijanet Muric flying out at him and as he does so Mateta just dinks it over him into the far corner. A wonderful finish.

  2. 'First real moment of quality'published at 20:50 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December

    Ipswich 0-1 Crystal Palace

    Alex Howell
BBC football news reporter at Portman Road

What an excellent goal from Palace and Jean-Phillippe Mateta.

The Palace forward starts the move and then delightfully dinks the ball over the keeper.

That's the first real moment of quality in the match.

The visitors lead at Portman Road. Jean-Philippe Mateta produces a step over and marker Jacob Greaves loses his footing and the Palace striker is then through on goal.

But it is a lovely lofted finish past Arijanet Muric and the Palace fans are delighted.

  4. 'Lopetegui has got team selection right'published at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December

    Leicester 1-0 West Ham

    Paul Robinson
Former England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Julen Lopetegui has got the team selection right tonight.

When West Ham have the ball, Edson Alvarez drops in between the two centre-backs, allowing the two full-backs Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Vladimir Coufal to push so high. They are almost like wide attacking players.

  5. Postpublished at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December

    Leicester 1-0 West Ham

Good, strong goalkeeping from West Ham stopper Lukasz Fabianski.

Bilal El Khannouss feeds an overlapping Kasey McAteer on the right, but Fabianski is out to the Leicester man in a flash, and narrows the angle, forcing the 23-year-old to shoot into his body.

  6. 'O'Shea exceptional for Ipswich'published at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December

    Ipswich Town 0-0 Crystal Palace

    Mark Schwarzer
Former Premier League goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Dara O'Shea has been exceptional for Ipswich. He has been at the centre of everything.

He is in the middle of a good battle with Jean-Philippe Mateta up front for Palace and his side are going to need him to continue playing really well.

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December

    Ipswich Town 0-0 Crystal Palace

Will Hughes slides in and takes out Jack Clarke in the centre circle with the Palace man getting his sixth booking of the campaign.

  8. 'Lopetegui will be judged on this run of games'published at 20:46 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December

Julen Lopetegui has been under a lot of pressure. The win away at Newcastle shocked a lot of people, not many people saw it coming. I think the 2-0 win there eased the pressure on him. Then the 5-2 at hime to Arsenal at the weekend, against a team going for the title, was never going to be career or season defining.

Now he's through those two games you look at what they have coming up, Wolves, Bournemouth, Brighton, Southampton. He will be judged on this run of games.

  9. 'Ipswich just not hitting the target'published at 20:45 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December

Positive again from Ipswich. They are keeping possession well going forward and getting the shot off but just not hitting the target. The shot from Dara O'Shea from distance was never going to test Dean Henderson unless it was out of this world.

  10. Postpublished at 20:44 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December

    Ipswich Town 0-0 Crystal Palace

Ipswich's Omari Hutchinson shows a great burst of pace to get away into space and run at the away defence. He plays it wide right to Wes Burns, but he sees two crosses blocked in quick succession and a bright move comes to nothing.

It provided extra noise and encouragement from the home fans though.

So much for a West Ham rebuild. Millions spent and very little to show for it. Europa Conference League winner Moyes would be forgiven for feeling very aggrieved.

  12. CLOSE!published at 20:44 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December

    Leicester 1-0 West Ham

West Ham come again. Now Jarrod Bowen drills a cross/shot just wide of the far post.

How many chances do the Hammers need?

  13. 'West Ham asking questions'published at 20:43 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December

    Leicester 1-0 West Ham

    Paul Robinson
Former England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Julen Lopetegui won't be very disappointed with his team. They have had a lot of possession and have dominated the chances since going behind. They are the ones who have been asking the questions here.

  14. CLOSE!published at 20:43 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December

    Leicester 1-0 West Ham

The West Ham fans thinks it's in!

Nope, not this time. Mohammed Kudus crosses for Thomas Soucek who hammers a header narrowly wide.

The ball hits the advertising boards and then ripples against the back of the net, the whole stadium briefly thinks it's in. But no, not to be.

Manchester United defender Luke Shaw is set for another spell on the sidelines after picking up a muscular injury.

Club sources say Shaw will be out for a few weeks.

The 29-year-old is three substitute appearances into his comeback after not playing a club game since February due to injury.

United officials say the injury is a new one, rather than a recurrence of a previous problem.

Great start from Leicester with a classic Vardy goal. However, we are now starting to make life difficult for ourselves in possession and our defence still makes me anxious.

  17. 'Not a nice challenge from Soumare'published at 20:39 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December

    Leicester 1-0 West Ham

    Paul Robinson
Former England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

It was a poor tackle by Boubakary Soumare. He just takes the back of Tomas Soucek's legs. He had turned away from the Leicester man. Referees don't like that. It's not a nice challenge when you watch it again.

  18. Postpublished at 20:38 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December

    Leicester 1-0 West Ham

Leicester finally start attacking again but Bilal El Khannouss gets too much fizz on his cross and it goes beyond a stretching Jamie Vardy.

Still, a promising sign. There will be more goals in this one. That's a guarantee.

  19. Postpublished at 20:38 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December

    Ipswich Town 0-0 Crystal Palace

Ipswich striker Liam Delap had been controlled well in the first half, but gets a first sight of the Palace goal earlier in the second. He already has six Premier League goals this season, but can't make it seven as he heads straight at Dean Henderson after escaping his marker.

  20. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:37 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December

    Leicester 1-0 West Ham

Leicester may be leading but they look far from convincing.

The Foxes give the ball away and Boubakary Soumare breaks up a West Ham counter with an ugly tackle from behind. He's booked.
