Promotion hopefuls Notts County will be aiming to get back on track after suffering their first defeat in four games against Walsall last time out, which saw them drop down to seventh.

The Magpies have, however, won six of their past nine home league games played on a Saturday (D1 L2), keeping seven clean sheets in that time and one in each of their past four such fixtures.

It’s no defeats in the past four games for Swindon (D2 W2) with George Cox's last-gasp penalty handing the League Two strugglers a vital home win over Colchester on Wednesday.

Ian Holloway’s side must improve their away form though ahead of today’s trip to Meadow Lane if they are to steer further away from the drop zone. They have won just two of their past 25 away league games (D9 L14), scoring just two goals across their past four such matches in total.

They have lost five of their past seven away league games against Notts County (W2), failing to score in four of their five losses during that time.

With League Two leaders Walsall not in action today, Doncaster Rovers will hope to cut the gap at the top to nine points, even if only temporarily.

Salford and Port Vale will look to go into the top three, while Grimsby and Bradford will be aiming to climb into the play-off spots.

At the other end, Carlisle could boost their hopes of avoiding relegation if they can beat fellow strugglers Tranmere.

Harrogate and Accrington will be trying to put distance between themselves and the drop.

Good afternoon to you all on this very chilly wintry Saturday. It sure feels like January now.

The freezing weather won't stop us all from enjoying more topsy-turvy EFL action, though. Unless the pitch is frozen, of course (more on that in a second).

If you're braving the cold to go to a game, good on you. If not, wrap up warm, grab a cuppa and get comfy for everything League One and League Two.

We will bring you everything as it happens as always, so let's get stuck into some build up...
