The clocks go back soon and pumpkin patches are becoming popular, yes autumn is truly here.

A city centre bar and a distillery have been celebrating this week, and an eyebrow-raising show about Margaret Thatcher finished its run at Bristol Old Vic.

Bristol law students and professors have also been marking a special anniversary.

New waves: The Wave remains open despite the arrival of autumn, with regular sessions for young surfers at the man-made lake to the north west of the city.

Cheers: The third Bristol Cocktail Weekend ended with The Juke Box, on Park Street, winning the top prize for their Big Iron cocktail. The event, involving venues from across the city, was held by Living for the Weekend and supported by Bristol City Centre Business Improvement District.

The Iron Lady: After five sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe and a season in the West End, Margaret Thatcher Queen of Soho has been entertaining audiences at Bristol Old Vic this week.

Stepping out: A large team from Southville-based Empowered Fitness took part in the Bristol Shine Walk last weekend, the 30-strong group have already raised £8,000 for Cancer Research UK.

Fighting for justice: The University of Bristol Law Clinic is celebrating three decades of its students working for free for those who cannot afford legal services.
