Truro City manager Paul Wotton is looking to add to his squad ahead of a busy schedule in the coming weeks.

They face a backlog after having three successive games postponed, at home to Dartford and Yeovil, as well as a trip to Welling.

Truro returned to action for the first time in two weeks on Saturday when they lost 2-1 to Braintree Town in National League South.

"We have to bring in more bodies," Wotton told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"I think we've got 16 fit players at the minute. Ben Adelsbury and Billy Palfrey are injured, and they should be back sooner rather than later, but we definitely need to bring in more bodies."

Truro's only signing so far this month has been forward Dominic Johnson-Fisher from Isthmian League side Whitehawk.

The transfer window for sides in the English Football League and Premier League ends this week, and although that does not apply from tier five downwards, Wotton says he has been working hard to try and bolster his squad.

"It's definitely not through lack of effort," he added.

"You've got to get the right ones and identify them and so-on, and it's not easy, you're competing against a lot of other teams in the league.

"But we'll keep trying, we've got a free week next week, which will be our last free week for a long, long time, so we'll need to desperately get some bodies in."
