    Leeds 2-0 Derby

    Aidy White
Former Leeds United full-back on BBC Radio Leeds

Leeds have controlled the game, the score is a decent reflection of the first half.

Derby haven't laid anything on Leeds so far.

  2. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:17 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Sheff Wed 0-1 Preston

Preston have the lead at the break thanks to Emil Riis' 14th-minute goal.

They have not created too much since going ahead but Paul Heckingbottom's side have looked so good in possession so far.

Sheffield Wednesday have showed glimpses of growing into the game but they haven't really created anything of note so far.

There are a few boos around Hillsborough as the players walk off.

  3. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:17 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Sunderland 1-1 Stoke

The home side are the most dominating but with both sides threatening in front of goal, this game still has its story yet to be written.

Sunderland got off to an aggressive start but it was Stoke who drew first blood after Lewis Koumas dinked a rebound past the Black Cats keeper.

But the lead wasn't to last as Tom Watson levelled the score only one minute later with a stunning strike to dazzle the crowd.

Both sides continued to have big chances, with the most dangerous falling to Wilson Isidor but an excellent save and a poor connection from the forward leaving him unable to put his side ahead.

20 shots in this one so far. How many more will we see in the second-half?

  4. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 13:16 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Sunderland 1-1 Stoke

Sunderland's Tom Watson has been relatively quiet since his equaliser but he brings himself into the foreground once again after connecting with the ball on a half-turn to fire it towards the far corner.

It beats the keeper but is marginally off target and ends up ricocheting off the bar.

  5. goal

GOAL: Leeds 2-0 Derbypublished at 13:15 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Max Wober (44 mins)

Two in five minutes! And it's another defender.

Ao Tanaka crosses in from the right hand side and Dan James can't connect as he swings at the ball.

But it's the substitute left-back Max Wober popping up inside the six-yard box to stroke the ball home for his first Leeds goal.

A very different complexion to this game now after five clinical minutes from the hosts.

  6. CLOSE!published at 13:15 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Sheff Wed 0-1 Preston

Sheffield Wednesday winger Djeidi Gassama with a lovely dummy to unsettle his defender but he then drags his shot just wide of the far post.

Probably Wednesday's best moment of the half.

  7. 'A great header from Rodon'published at 13:14 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Leeds 0-0 Derby

    Adam Pope
    BBC Radio Leeds commentator

A great header from Joe Rodon, his first goal at the Kop End.

A fantastic header that sends Leeds to the top of the table.

Is this the start of what should be a routine win for Leeds?

  8. Postpublished at 13:13 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Sunderland 1-1 Stoke

Sunderland's Wilson Isidor will be kicking himself.

He gets on the end of a long ball and, with Stoke keeper Viktor Johansson over-committing, makes the wrong choice as his low effort is kept out.

Then his woes continue as he doesn't catch a cut back into the box right and pokes it wide. An easy goal gone begging.

  9. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:10 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Sheff Wed 0-1 Preston

First booking of the game goes to Sheffield Wednesday's Liam Palmer who brings down Brad Potts.

Preston are just content with how they are playing at the moment.

  10. goal

    Joe Rodon (39 mins)

He makes no mistake this time!

Leeds win a corner after Brendan Aaronson forces a good save from Jacob Widell Zetterstrom.

This time Wales defender Joe Rodon beats Kane Wilson to the ball in from Joe Rothwell and heads past Zetterstrom to give the hosts the lead.

  11. Postpublished at 13:07 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Leeds 0-0 Derby

Dan James goes down under a challenge from Derby captain Nathaniel Mendez-Laing to give the hosts a free-kick in a good position.

  12. Postpublished at 13:06 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Leeds 0-0 Derby

Leeds try something different as Pascal Struijk sends a long ball forward for Manor Solomon to chase down the left channel.

His first time ball is well cleared by Eiran Cashin.

Moments later Joel Piroe takes a wild shot from distance that sails over the bar.

This will be encouraging to Derby boss Paul Warne. His defence hasn't been tested anywhere near enough yet.

  13. 'Derby are struggling to get out'published at 13:06 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Leeds 0-0 Derby

    Aidy White
Former Leeds United full-back on BBC Radio Leeds

Derby are struggling to get out at the moment.

Even when they do get the ball it isn't in a good position and they are having to play it long.

  14. GREAT SAVE!published at 13:05 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Sunderland 1-1 Stoke

Sunderland are awarded a free-kick on the edge of the box and it's Wilson Isidor who wants to get involved.

His shot is powerful, direct and clinical but somehow Stoke keeper Viktor Johansson manages to parry it away.

  15. Postpublished at 13:04 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Sheff Wed 0-1 Preston

Sheffield Wednesday's Josh Windass again with a good strike after being picked out by Marvin Johnson.

It's a smart save from Freddie Woodman who pushes it behind.

The resulting corner falls to Michael Smith but his effort is wide. He'll be dissapointed he hasn't at least got that on target.

  16. Postpublished at 13:02 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Sunderland 1-1 Stoke

Stoke's Bae Jun-ho takes a corner that's just a tad too deep but when Million Manhoef reignites the danger from outside the box, it ends up falling to the midfielder again.

This time, his curling cross is just right and Michael Rose's header needs to be cleared away by a swarming Sunderland defence.

  17. Postpublished at 13:01 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Leeds 0-0 Derby

Some nice football from Leeds ends with the offside flag going up against Max Wober.

Manor Solomon jinks through the Derby midfield before playing a good ball through for the left-back, but he'd strayed just offside.

Leeds enjoying the lion's share of possession but the Rams defence have kept them at bay so far.

  18. Postpublished at 13:00 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Sheff Wed 0-1 Preston

Better from Sheffield Wednesday as they press forward a little.

Michael Smith plays it to Josh Windass who has a crack at goal but it takes a deflection to go wide.

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 12:58 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Sunderland 1-1 Stoke

Now it's Sunderland's defence who need to put in a shift.

First, a vital header from defender Trai Hume to stop a perfect cross from reaching a poised and ready Eric Bocat.

Then, a punch from keeper Anthony Patterson to deny Million Manhoef's stinging shot.

  20. Postpublished at 12:57 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Sheff Wed 0-1 Preston

Preston boss Paul Heckingbottom will be delighted with the way his side have played so far as the home side are yet to register a shot on target.

You can hear the frustration from the home crowd as Sheffield Wednesday are just not doing enough up top at the moment.
