  1. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:58 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Leeds 2-0 Derby

Derby win a corner and the flat ball causes the Leeds defence all sorts of problems as the wind catches it, but it evades everyone and sails through.

Now it's Daniel Farke's turn to ring the changes, with Willy Gnonto and Mateo Joseph on for the impressive Manor Solomon and Brenden Aaronson - they've both been very good today.

  2. Postpublished at 13:57 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Sheff Wed 0-1 Preston

Sheffield Wednesday are trying to press Preston high up the pitch but Preston are playing with no panic at all.

  3. Postpublished at 13:56 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Sunderland 1-1 Stoke

Sunderland's Chris Rigg takes a in-swinging corner but the quality comes to no avail as no one in red and white stripes is able to connect with it.

All a bit sluggish in this half.

    Can someone inject some energy?

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:55 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Leeds 2-0 Derby

A rare foray forward for the visitors ends with a cross in from Liam Thompson which is comfortably dealt with by Illan Meslier, who really hasn't had much to do at all in this game.

Paul Warne is making a couple of changes, with Marcus Harness and Kenzo Goudmijn coming on in place of Kayden Jackson and captain Nathaniel Mendez-Laing.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:54 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Sheff Wed 0-1 Preston

Josh Windass makes way for Jamal Lowe for Sheffield Wednesday.

You just wonder if Windass will be lacking confidence after his penalty miss.

Lowe, however, will be a man brimming with confidence after his later winner for the Owls against Derby last weekend.

Leeds come so close to a third goal.

It seems inevitable that it will come.

  7. Postpublished at 13:51 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Sunderland 1-1 Stoke

Things have began to slow down a little now but there are also some mistakes beginning to creep in.

Sunderland defender Dan Ballard's is almost very costly after his dreadful touch misdirects the ball away from his keeper and towards a Stoke forward.

His team-mate Luke O'Nien rushes in to salvage the error.

  8. Postpublished at 13:50 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Leeds 2-0 Derby

The Leeds players are queueing up now. This time it's Ao Tanaka who produces a good save from Jacob Widell Zetterstrom.

Before Joel Piroe bends one towards the bottom corner and the big goalkeeper gets down brilliantly to turn it round the post - it's a great save.

Derby can't get out at the moment. They're finally given some respite as Tanaka is caught offside so they can regroup.

  9. Postpublished at 13:48 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Leeds 2-0 Derby

This Leeds midfield of Joe Rothwell, Ao Tanaka and Brenden Aaronson have been so impressive today, they've completely won the battle in the middle of the park so far.

And just as I write Dan James smashes a swerving effort from distance but it's right at Jacob Widell Zetterstrom for a comfortable save.

  10. 'It is like Derby are just accepting defeat'published at 13:44 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Leeds 2-0 Derby

    Aidy White
Former Leeds United full-back on BBC Radio Leeds

There might be a sense of preservation from Paul Warne.

We have seen that happen with a lot of teams against Leeds this season.

Derby are in a very low block and they are just passive.

It is like they are just accepting defeat.

  11. Postpublished at 13:43 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Sunderland 1-1 Stoke

This half has begun with the same ferociousness as the first.

Jobe Bellingham heads down a corner into a clear spot for his team-mate to send it in but the effort goes wide.

  12. MISSED PENALTYpublished at 13:42 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Sheff Wed 0-1 Preston

Josh Windass steps up for Sheffield Wednesday but the returning Freddie Woodman makes the save to deny him.

    It's a poor penalty.

There's a little scramble in the box as Wednesday's players looks for a rebound but it's cleared.

  13. PENALTY TO SHEFF WEDpublished at 13:41 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Sheff Wed 0-1 Preston

Oh dear how are Preston not two up at the start of this half?

Sam Greenwood puts in low cross to Brad Potts but he slices it over the bar.

Potts completely fluffed his lines. He had time and space and all he had to do was tuck it home.

But will Preston rue that miss?

Pol Valentin who came on as sub at half-time makes an impact as Kaine Kesler-Hayden brings him down inside the area.

No doubt about it as the referee points to the spot.

What a start to the second half.

  14. Postpublished at 13:40 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Leeds 2-0 Derby

Dan James eventually forces the corner after Brenden Aaronson finds space in the box.

The USA international twists and turns one way then the next but he can't find space to shoot.

Manor Solomon then fires a venomous shot just wide, that would have been some goal!

Real pressure here from the home side.

  15. Postpublished at 13:37 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Leeds 2-0 Derby

Leeds have started this second half where they left off and Manor Solomon cuts in from the left before shooting at goal but it's well blocked.

If they can get the third you have to believe this one would be over.

A big performance needed from Derby to get back into this.

  20. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:20 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2024

    Leeds 2-0 Derby

And that is half-time - Joe Rodon and Max Wober both with their first Leeds goals to give the home side a two-goal lead at half-time.

The Rams had done well to keep their hosts at bay but Daniel Farke will be delighted with the end to that half by his side.

At 38 minutes Paul Warne's half-time team talk would have been very different but after conceding two goals in the last six minutes his players have it all to do at Elland Road.
