There won’t be a Spurs fan in the land who won’t have seen that coming. I’d love to know how Spurs rank in terms of wastefulness in front of goal. When your defence is that porous, you’ve got to take your chances!

You could just sense a Newcastle goal on the break. They’ve had their backs on the ropes the entire second half but give Isak a chance and he’ll punish you.

This is some match. Swinging one way then the other. Now St James Park is bouncing again with Alexander Isak tapping in after great work from firstly Joelinton and then Jacob Murphy.

What a change from Eddie Howe. It's a very high line from Spurs. It's never offside. Murphy could have shot but he did the right thing and Isak will never score an easier goal.

  18. Chelsea go gung-ho after Gusto injurypublished at 15:10 British Summer Time 1 September

Enzo Maresca has gone all out attack in the final moments of the match but Chelsea look edgy.

The equaliser from Eberechi Eze has rocked the Blues after an excellent performance until that very moment, which swung momentum back in Crystal Palace's favour.

Malo Gusto has gone off with what looks like a hamstring injury and was replaced by Mykhailo Mudryk.

That has caused a reshuffle across the whole team as Moises Caicedo moves to right-back, Joao Felix into midfield and Mudryk into his favoured left wing role.

This could go either way, Eze has been pulling the strings but there is a lot of firepower now on the pitch for the west Londoners.

    Would you believe it?

Tottenham could be 5-1 up. They have completely dominated the second half but Newcastle have punished them.

Joelinton sees the high line, plays a perfect through ball to Jacob Murphy and Newcastle are clean through.

Murphy has Alexander Isak in support, Guglielmo Vicario closes him down and Murphy just slips it left to Isak to poke into an empty net.
