There have been parts of quality in this game. Harvey Barnes was the one and I'm delighted with that because he really is a top player.

Chelsea do deserve the lead they have been the better team - Palace will still be happy that it's 1-0.

Palace will feel there is a way back into the game. It's important how they do that while keeping the back door shut.

  7. Twists and turns to comepublished at 14:25 British Summer Time 1 September

Newcastle are maintaining their unbeaten start to the season as it stands, while Tottenham are on course for their first loss.

But there are still going to be plenty of twists and turns in this one. A very good watch, very enjoyable, both sides pushing forwards and creating chances.

By the way, Sandro Tonali got a standing ovation when he warmed up near the end of the half, imagine the reception he will get if he comes on.

Remember, he has not played here or in the Premier League since last October after serving a 10-month ban for breaching betting regulations.

Odobert is getting no change out of his full-back. Well done to Lloyd Kelly. Ange Postecoglou may need to look at switching him or looking to his bench.

How have Spurs not made a creative centre midfield player a priority in the summer? We needed at least 3 more signings to improve on last season. Awful transfer window for Spurs!

  17. YELLOW CARDpublished at 14:17 British Summer Time 1 September

    Newcastle 1-0 Tottenham

We've got five minutes added on in this half, largely due to the stoppage for an official's injury.

It means Tottenham will have time to respond. They are still putting pressure on Newcastle's defence without really creating too many clear-cut chances.

Joelinton is shown a yellow card as he gives away another free-kick.

On nine of Chelsea's squad last week being 23 years old or younger...

Chelsea have sold a lot of their young players due to financial fair play.

To put a team of that age and strength out is incredible. Chelsea want here and now - that will always be the case.
