Guernsey FC's wait for an away win went on as they lost 2-1 at Northwood in Isthmian League South Central.

Ross Allen, Seb Vance and Charlton Gauvain all went close early on for Guernsey before Dave Merris hit the bar from long range after 25 minutes.

The hosts broke the deadlock when Reece Cameron headed in a 55th-minute corner.

Matt Loaring levelled from close range eight minutes later after good work by Ross Allen before Kofi Anokye-Boad headed in the winner soon after.

The Northwood man's close-range effort from a corner just went over the line before it was cleared by a Guernsey defender as the visitors saw Loaring and Allen go close for a second.

The loss leaves Guernsey second-from bottom in the table and still looking for their first away win since 4 March when they won 2-1 at Leatherhead.
