Jersey Bulls needed a 90th-minute penalty from Lorne Bickley to end their four-game winless run in the league with a 2-1 win at Epson and Ewell.

Bickley had given the islanders a ninth-minute lead as he tapped in after Miguel Carvalho had robbed a defender.

But Carl Oblitey levelled for the hosts after half an hour.

Bulls created a host of chances as the game wore on, but it was not until the final minute that they got the win thanks to Bickley's spot-kick.

A cross from new signing Odinaka Nwokoro was adjudged to have been blocked by a defender's arm and the islander's leading marksman converted for his 17th goal of the season.

There was still time for the hosts to almost salvage a point, but Bulls goalkeeper Pierce Roche did well to save a free-kick in the fourth minute of stoppage time.

The win - Bulls' first in Combined Counties League Premier South since 9 December - keeps them fourth in the table.

They are a point off third-placed Abbey Rangers with two games in hand, while second-placed Knaphill are five points above Bulls having played the same number of matches.

Leaders Farnham Town have won all 20 of their matches - two fewer than the island side have played - and are 16 points clear of Jersey.
