  1. goal

GOAL - West Brom 1-1 Derbypublished at 21:42 British Summer Time 12 August

    Joe Ward (90 mins)

    Goodness me...

Derby came to life after going behind and they have snuck a goal right at the death, Joe Ward whipping in a free-kick from a narrow angle that has flown into the top corner!

  2. Postpublished at 21:41 British Summer Time 12 August

    Stoke 0-0 Walsall

Oh wow - so close to a winner for Walsall.

Jack Bonham does brilliantly to tip over Jonny Stuttle's shot and from the corner Stuttle, on the turn, shoots wide - heads in hands all around from the midlanders.

We've still got three minutes of time added on to go.

Is there a winner before the dreaded penalties?

    Plymouth 3-2 QPR

    Plymouth celebrateImage source, Rex Features

    What a cup tie.

QPR rode their luck to take a 2-0 lead at the break with Daniel Bennie tapping home the opener and Rayan Kolli nodding the second, either side of Paul Nardi brilliantly, if slightly illegally, denying Jamie Paterson's penalty.

However Argyle were not to go quietly, Brendan Wiredu's close range header began the comeback and a double from Owen Oseni, on his full debut, secured Tom Cleverley's first win as Pilgrims boss in a game which will live long in the memory at Home Park.

  4. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:39 British Summer Time 12 August

    Coventry 1-0 Luton

Not one for the highlights reel but Coventry get the job done against a Luton side which showed 11 changes from the weekend.

Ellis Simms, on his 100th appearance for the Sky Blues, grabbed the all-important goal 12 minutes after the break when getting on the end of Haji Wright's cross-shot.

Luton offered little as an attacking force and James Shea did well to deny Simms a second on the night.

  5. INJURY TIMEpublished at 21:38 British Summer Time 12 August

    Blackburn 1-2 Bradford

Boos from the 3,000 travelling fans as SEVEN additional minutes are announced.

City look tired, Blackburn can smell a leveller to take this tie to penalties.

  6. Postpublished at 21:38 British Summer Time 12 August

    Stoke 0-0 Walsall

    We're into seven additional minutes.

  7. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:37 British Summer Time 12 August

    Northampton 0-1 Southampton

A Mateus Fernandes goal three minutes into the second period wins it for Southampton but they were made to work for their victory.

Jordan Willis had an effort cleared off the line for Northampton while Alex McCarthy denied Cameron McGeehan and Dean Campbell before Elliott List flashed a header wide.

Fernandes' goal seemed to relax the Saints who also hit the post through Yuki Sugawara.

  8. goal

GOAL: Wrexham 3-3 Hullpublished at 21:36 British Summer Time 12 August

    Ollie Palmer (90 mins)

    DO NOT ADJUST YOUR SET.

What on earth, Wrexham are the side to watch for late drama this season. Another cross, from the right this time, and Ollie Palmer heads in again. Two goals in added time.

  9. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:36 British Summer Time 12 August

    Blackburn 1-2 Bradford

One of THE great saves, this.

Think Banks, Schmeichel and now Sam Walker.

Augustus Kargbo floats the ball into the middle, Yuki Ohashi meets it with a perfect downward header but Walker somehow contorts in the air, changing direction and getting down to his right to palm the ball up and onto the face of the crossbar when it seemed the ball was almost beyond him.

    Stunning.

Luke Berry had made it 3-0 to Charlton against Stevenage but Lewis Freestone has pulled one back for Boro.

Norwich still have that slender 2-1 lead over Watford.

Peterborough trail Accrington 2-1 as are Shrewsbury at Grimsby as we get nearer to full-time.

  11. Heading to penalties...published at 21:36 British Summer Time 12 August

As it stands, Gillingham v AFC Wimbledon, Leyton Orient v Wycombe, Salford v Rotherham and Stoke v Walsall are the four 19:45 BST kick-offs heading straight to penalties.

They're into added time in all of those.

  12. goal

GOAL - Wrexham 2-3 Hullpublished at 21:36 British Summer Time 12 August

    Ollie Palmer (90 mins)

What a header! Wow, Wrexham back in with a sniff as targetman Ollie Palmer climbs high to smash in a header from James Mclean's fine cross.

  13. Postpublished at 21:34 British Summer Time 12 August

    Bromley 1-1 Ipswich

Ipswich are huffing and puffing in the later kick-off - George Hirst is off the bench to have a sight of goal but can't get his shot on target after a heavy first touch.

Still around 15 minutes left in this one.

  14. Postpublished at 21:33 British Summer Time 12 August

    Blackburn 1-2 Bradford

It's the visitors who are finishing the stronger at Ewood Park, but a deep free-kick to the back post is nodded too close to Rovers keeper Nick Michalski.

Blackburn have huffed and puffed but haven't opened up the visitors in the second half... yet.

  15. Postpublished at 21:32 British Summer Time 12 August

It's such a busy night, probably easiest to tell you who's into round two from the earlier kick-offs..

Swansea, Preston, Doncaster, Millwall and Stockport are all into the hat for Wednesday's draw.

  18. Postpublished at 21:30 British Summer Time 12 August

    Stoke 0-0 Walsall

We still await the first goal here.

Stoke have hit the bar but have still only had one shot on target in the whole game.

Walsall haven't had a single effort on goal in this second period but they are six minutes plus injury time from dragging us to penalties.

Ryan Loft has made it 2-0 to Cambridge at Bristol Rovers, Gillingham have levelled against AFC Wimbledon to make it 1-1 and Charlton are still leading Stevenage 2-0 as are Reading at Portsmouth.

Port Vale lead Blackpool 1-0 thanks to Mo Faal's goal.

We're still waiting for goals in the games between Stoke and Walsall, Salford v Rotherham and Leyton Orient v Wycombe.

  20. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:27 British Summer Time 12 August

    Middlesbrough 0-4 Doncaster

Middlesbrough fans are making their feelings very clear. This was not good enough.

Doncaster, newly promoted from League Two, made 11 changes and looked significantly better than Boro in the early stages, with deflected strikes from Ben Close and Damola Ajayi giving them a deserved 2-0 lead.

Rob Edwards' men did work keeper Ian Lawlor several times and Delano Burgzorg thumpted the post, but Robbie Gotts cracked a late third and Thomas Nixon stroked the fourth.

The visitors really might have had more before the final whistle was greeted with a chorus of boos from the fans who had only remained in order to do so.
