  1. Postpublished at 20:44 British Summer Time 2 October

    Liverpool 1-0 Bologna

Liverpool appear to have dealt with that dangerous spell Bologna had and are back dominating as half time approaches.

  2. 'Superb top right hand from Martinez'published at 20:41 British Summer Time 2 October

    Aston Villa 0-0 Bayern Munich

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live at Villa Park

It is brilliant play from Michael Olise. The Villa defence can't let him come inside on that left foot, we've seen him do it so many times for Crystal Palace. 25 yards out, he whips the ball towards the top corner and it is a superb top right hand from Emi Martinez. That would have been a wonderful goal.

  3. Postpublished at 20:41 British Summer Time 2 October

    Liverpool 1-0 Bologna

Ryan Gravenberch has been excellent for Liverpool this season and he's been influential in this game too, particularly when striding through the middle towards the opposition box. The latest foray forward is ended as his attempt at lifting the ball over the defence is cleared.

  4. Postpublished at 20:41 British Summer Time 2 October

    Aston Villa 0-0 Bayern Munich

What a save from Emiliano Martinez! Michael Olise cuts in from the right and curls in a fantastic shot from 25 yards which the diving keeper tips over the bar.

The Villa man then catches the resulting corner.

  5. Postpublished at 20:39 British Summer Time 2 October

    Aston Villa 0-0 Bayern Munich

Bayern winger Michael Olise has a shot blocked and Pau Torres clears.

  6. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:39 British Summer Time 2 October

    Liverpool 1-0 Bologna

Ibrahima Konate and Sam Beukema are both booked as they tussled inside the Bologna box waiting for a corner. That means both of Liverpool's centre-backs are on yellow cards.

  7. Postpublished at 20:39 British Summer Time 2 October

    Aston Villa 0-0 Bayern Munich

Joshua Kimmich tries to catch Emiliano Martinez out.

The Bayern star stands over a free-kick 45 yards out with everyone waiting in the centre for a cross. But he tries to curl it the other way and shoot.

Martinez is ready for it though and catches the ball with ease.

  8. 'Ndoye looks dangerous'published at 20:38 British Summer Time 2 October

    Liverpool 1-0 Bologna

    Steve McManaman
Former Liverpool winger on TNT Sports

Ndoye looks really dangerous, Orsolini less so.

Ndoye has good body shape. He goes left, he goes right.

    He looks very dangerous.

  9. A good spell for Bolognapublished at 20:38 British Summer Time 2 October

    Liverpool 1-0 Bologna

    Michael Emons
    BBC Sport at Anfield

Liverpool have at times looked like they would push on and take this game away from the Italians.

A lovely pass from deep over the top of the defence from Ryan Gravenberch found Darwin Nunez, but he couldn't strike cleanly and his left-footed effort was straight at the visiting keeper.

Nunez then shot over, but the travelling away fans have belief they can get a memorable result here, buoyed by Dan Ndoye hitting the post and Kacper Urbanski almost pouncing on an error from Trent Alexander-Arnold, only for Alisson to get his team-mate out of trouble with a fine save diving to his left.

The Liverpool fans, sensing danger ahead, crank up the noise to boost their boys.

  10. Postpublished at 20:38 British Summer Time 2 October

    Liverpool 1-0 Bologna

Lovely, sweeping attack by Liverpool down the right with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Luis Diaz exchanging passes to open up the Bologna defence. The move ends with Diaz inside the area but he takes a touch too long to get the shot off.

  11. 'Martinez not overly worked so far'published at 20:37 British Summer Time 2 October

    Aston Villa 0-0 Bayern Munich

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live at Villa Park

Emi Martinez hasn't been overly worked by Bayern Munich so far. Unai Emery spoke before the game about the importance of defending well and Villa have done well so far.

  12. 'World class talent'published at 20:37 British Summer Time 2 October

    Aston Villa 0-0 Bayern Munich

    Owen Hargreaves
Former Bayern midfielder on TNT Sports

Michael Olise's in the perfect place, a team full of winners, the mentality.

He's got world class talent, the thing I find remarkable is he's so lethal in front of goal.

So calm, a bit like Cole Palmer, just finishes everything off, rarely ever wasteful.

  13. Postpublished at 20:37 British Summer Time 2 October

    Aston Villa 0-0 Bayern Munich

Villa midfielder Amadou Onana looks to be struggling too. They will hope he can play on because that would be another sub - and sub window - gone.

  14. Villa looking to isolate Upamecanopublished at 20:35 British Summer Time 2 October

    Aston Villa 0-0 Bayern Munich

    Thomas Hitzlsperger
Former Aston Villa midfielder on MOTD: Uefa Champions League

Villa still need to improve when they pass out from the back but after seeing Ollie Watkins cause Dayot Upamecano problems twice now, they have a bit more confidence because they know they have the option of going long.

They seem to have understood that because Bayern are playing with such a high line, they can isolate Upamecano by pulling Kim Min-Jae out of position, and Watkins has the pace to capitalise on it.

You can hear more from Hitzlsperger on MOTD: Uefa Champions League at 22:40 BST on BBC One and the BBC Sport website and app.

If I was Vincent Kompany I’d sub Gnabry off immediately for not passing to Kane there. Guaranteed goal or smash it yourself from an impossible angle. So selfish.

  16. Postpublished at 20:34 British Summer Time 2 October

    Aston Villa 0-0 Bayern Munich

Good play from Villa winger Jaden Philogene to follow Michael Olise's run and then block his cross.

  17. Postpublished at 20:34 British Summer Time 2 October

    RB Leipzig 1-0 Juventus

Not many goals around so far but there's been a couple of crackers.

After Club Brugge's wonder goal at Sturm Graz, Juventus trail RB Leipzig after Benjamin Sesko's thumping finish off the underside of the crossbar.

  18. 'Rogers more prominent for Villa'published at 20:34 British Summer Time 2 October

    Aston Villa 0-0 Bayern Munich

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live at Villa Park

It was a little bit nervy early on from Aston Villa, a case of "Let's see what you've got Bayern Munich." But they are coming more and more into the game now and Morgan Rogers is central to that, he is more prominent.

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:33 British Summer Time 2 October

    Liverpool 1-0 Bologna

Liverpool are hanging on a touch now and Alisson is required to produce a great save to deny Kacper Urbanski.

  20. 'Unfortunate'published at 20:33 British Summer Time 2 October

    Liverpool 1-0 Bologna

    Steve McManaman
Former Liverpool winger on TNT Sports

    Better, much better by Bologna.

Lovely ball in as well and it's Ndoye, it's just unfortunate.
