  1. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:32 British Summer Time 2 October

    Liverpool 1-0 Bologna

Bologna are coming into this a bit now and Dan Ndoye's snapshot inside the area strikes against the woodwork.

That came moments after Riccardo Orsolini's downward header at the back post from a great ball into the box was blocked by his own team-mate.

  2. Postpublished at 20:32 British Summer Time 2 October

    Aston Villa 0-0 Bayern Munich

Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins has won all four of his duels so far in the game, more than any other player.

He almost gets onto Jaden Philogene's pass but Kim Min-jae does enough.

  3. 'Kane just needed a square pass for a tap in'published at 20:32 British Summer Time 2 October

    Aston Villa 0-0 Bayern Munich

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live at Villa Park

It is a wild effort from Serge Gnabry. It was close as to whether he was offside or not. The angle was against him and Harry Kane was in the middle at the back post and just needed a square pass for a tap in. Bayern should be one up.

  4. Postpublished at 20:31 British Summer Time 2 October

    Aston Villa 0-0 Bayern Munich

Serge Gnabry almost takes advantage of Villa's high line. He runs onto a ball down the right and, instead of passing to goal machine Harry Kane in the centre, shoots himself from a tight angle. Wide.

  5. Postpublished at 20:30 British Summer Time 2 October

    Aston Villa 0-0 Bayern Munich

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live at Villa Park

It's Jaden Philogene who has gone over to that left hand side to replace Jacob Ramsey and Leon Bailey will come over to his preferred right hand side.

  6. Benfica's bargainpublished at 20:30 British Summer Time 2 October

    Benfica 1-0 Atletico Madrid

    John Bennett
    BBC World Service Sport

Benfica's goalscorer against Atletico Madrid, Kerem Akturkoglu, has to be one of the signings of the last transfer window. He has nine goal involvements in his last six games, including scoring five times himself. His transfer fee was 12m euros, which looks a bargain price for such an exciting player.

  7. Postpublished at 20:29 British Summer Time 2 October

    Liverpool 1-0 Bologna

Oooh, a big, let off for Liverpool.

They get caught playing out from the back but Dan Ndoye's shot is deflected onto the crossbar. The flag then goes up for an offside, but the hosts have to be a bit more switched on there.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:28 British Summer Time 2 October

    Aston Villa 0-0 Bayern Munich

Leon Bailey is on for the injured Jacob Ramsey.

  9. Villa hopes dashedpublished at 20:28 British Summer Time 2 October

    Aston Villa 0-0 Bayern Munich

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Villa Park

What a moment of disappointment for Aston Villa after that deafening roar went up after Pau Torres turned the ball in. There is encouragement too, though, because Villa have started to look a real threat and the crowd are responding.

  10. 'The size of big Virgil didn't help him'published at 20:27 British Summer Time 2 October

    Liverpool 1-0 Bologna

    Steve McManaman
Former Liverpool winger on TNT Sports

Not really, [a booking] was it.

He's just trying to get his arm across just to get in front of him.

The size of big Virgil didn't help him so he's caught him.

He just has to be careful now.

  11. 'Villa getting more and more into this'published at 20:27 British Summer Time 2 October

    Aston Villa 0-0 Bayern Munich

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live at Villa Park

I've got to say it is sensational play from Morgan Rogers, Gets the ball halfway inside his own half, turns and runs and picks out Ollie Watkins. He shoots and the rebound falls to Amadou Onana whose shot is weak and straight at Manuel Neuer. Villa are getting more and more into this game now.

  12. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:27 British Summer Time 2 October

    Liverpool 1-0 Bologna

Virgil van Dijk is booked for Liverpool after a foul on Thijs Dallinga. The defender is clearly aggreived by the decision, but has to be a little bit more careful now.

  13. Postpublished at 20:27 British Summer Time 2 October

    Aston Villa 0-0 Bayern Munich

Jacob Ramsey, who was struggling before that offside, sits down. He's injured.

  14. Wonder goal for Club Bruggepublished at 20:27 British Summer Time 2 October

    Sturm Graz 0-1 Club Brugge

The champions of Belgium have taken the lead in Austria.

Christos Tzolis puts Club Brugge in front against Sturm Graz with a beauty in-off the post from an angle.

    An outstanding finish.

Tzolis is the first player from Greece to score a Champions League goal for a Belgian side.

  15. Postpublished at 20:27 British Summer Time 2 October

    Aston Villa 0-0 Bayern Munich

    Owen Hargreaves
Former Bayern midfielder on TNT Sports

Unai Emery knew this was going to happen, Bayern are going to have all the ball.

He's going to get more chances, Ollie Watkins.

  16. Postpublished at 20:26 British Summer Time 2 October

    Aston Villa 0-0 Bayern Munich

But the game has changed. It was all Bayern earlier but Villa are flying now. Another chance!

Ollie Watkins' cross from the left is deflected into the path of Amadou Onana, whose shot is saved by Manuel Neuer.

  17. 'It must have been Ramsey from the initial free kick'published at 20:26 British Summer Time 2 October

    Aston Villa 0-0 Bayern Munich

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live at Villa Park

It must have been Jacob Ramsey from the initial free kick that was offisde. He kept the ball alive before Lucas Digne put the ball into the back post for Pau Torres. How close, how tight was it? Blimey.

  18. Postpublished at 20:25 British Summer Time 2 October

    Oh no.

Aston Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey is deemed to have been offside earlier in that move and so VAR disallows the goal.
