Brilliant from Ross Barkley. Bit of invention with a pass and follow around Joshua Kimmich, gets the ball back and he cannot find Ian Maatsen. The forward had put the burners on to get there but the pass didn't reach him.

Ian Maatsen does get the ball now and lashes a shot over from long range. Barely half a chance really.

When it rains, it pours for Aston Villa. They have another big game against Manchester United this weekend and they have lost another couple of players to injury so far tonight, so many injuries. Amadou Onana not looking good the way he's hobbled off and Leon Bailey 100% has something wrong with him to come off [having only been subbed on in the first half].

Villa midfielder Ross Barkley almost feeds fellow sub Ian Maatsen but it's just cut out.

If Bologna are able to get an equaliser expect Dan Ndoye to be involved in it. He has been the visitors' most dangerous player.

Villa have started the second half the same way they started the first - slowly.

Bayern are in control, pushing them back… and even when Villa get on the ball they cannot keep hold of it for long because of how good the Bayern counter-press is. You can feel the pressure building.

Alphonso Davies is causing some real problems for Villa down the Bayern left hand side. He is picking up some dangerous positions and combining well with Michael Olise and Jamal Musiala.

Villa send on Ian Maatsen and Ross Barkley for Amadou Onana, who seems to be injured, and... Leon Bailey, who was only a substitute himself.

Juventus are back on level terms in Germany thanks to Serbia forward Dusan Vlahovic's goal.

Vlahovic is the only player to have scored for Juventus in each of the club's last three Champions League campaigns (2021-22, 2022-23 and 2024-25).

There's a large group of Bologna fans, to the side of the goal their team are attacking in the second half, who are constantly bouncing up and down.

And you can see why they are growing in belief as their team, 13th in Serie A with one win in seven in all competitions this season, are giving Liverpool a fright.

Riccardo Orsolini was free at the back post but his side-footed attempt was blocked by a fine Alisson save, with Kacper Urbanski then shooting over a minute later.

Now the Bologna fans, as one, are waving their scarves around above their heads and it is a great sight, but the Liverpool fans once again raise the volume levels themselves. The hosts could really do with a second goal. This is still a dangerous tie.

Arne Slot makes a change as he looks to try and inspire Liverpool to scoring a second. Diogo Jota is on, replacing Darwin Nunez.
