    The last time Crystal Palace conceded a goal away from home was Gabriel Jesus' hat-trick strike for Arsenal on 18 December in the Carabao Cup.

    It's not the prettiest football you'll ever see but at least they're putting Bournemouth under some pressure now.

    Good batttle between Andy Robertson and Jack Harrison but the Liverpool attack comes to nothing.

    Dango Ouattara tries his luck from about 25 yards out and at the tightest of angles. Decent effort in fairness to him but very hard to score from there.

    Alexander Isak again is the man who looks like getting a goal.

    He picks up the ball, drives forward, shimmys past Nathan Collins and gets the shot away but it's over the bar, perhaps with a little bit of help from the fingertips of Mark Flekken.

  7. Southampton 1-0 Crystal Palace

    As things stand Southampton WILL NOT be the worst Premier League team ever.

    But they have taken the lead a good few times this season and usually don't win.

    Everton will want this contest to be stop-start and disjoined, that will halt Liverpool from gaining any flow or momentum.

    They need to somehow quieten down this crowd too.

    Joao Pedro heads Lucas Digne's free-kick into the path of Matty Cash and he absolutely hammers one just over.

    Ipswich come forward for the first time as Ben Johnson comes inside on his left foot and lets fly.

    The ball takes a touch on the way through and almost spins into the path of Liam Delap.

  14. Encouragement for Saints early on

    After the initial scare when Jean-Philippe Mateta stuck the woodwork Southampton have responded quite well with a few spirited attacks of their own.

    The efforts of Ryan Manning and the pace of Kamaldeen Sulemana have got them forward a few times down the left.

    The two managers down in the dugout are of complete contrast, Saints boss Ivan Juric is incredibly animated, often venturing out of his technical area to furiously shout instructions at his players.

    Oliver Glasner stands arms crossed, watching on and occasionally giving pointers to his players on this near side.

    There really is quite a lot of empty seats in the home end however those that are here seem to be encouraged by some of what they have seen so far.

    Villa are very much in control here but without really putting Brighton under much pressure. The home side will be relatively comfortable for now.

    Brentford have weathered the early storm and are starting to get a little bit more of the ball now.

    This one looked like a tight one and it is starting to appear like that now.

    Newcastle started the brighter of the two but Brentford are by no means out of this. It's been fairly even so far.

    That's not a bad effort from the Manchester City fans.

    There were plenty of empty blue seats after kick off and they are virtually all full now the ticket protest is over.

    It will be interesting to see what the response of the club is.
