I don't know if I've ever seen a Premier League team who are worse at defending.

Russell Martin has a chat with his players during a break in play.

  2. The art of set-pieces could prove the differencepublished at 19:27 Greenwich Mean Time

Chelsea hired Brentford's set-piece coach Bernardo Cueva for £750,000 in the summer.

That follows the Bees consistent success scoring from and defending set-pieces in the Thomas Frank era.

But the loss of Cueva has done little to dent Brentford's success - as Cueva's replacement Keith Andrews has continued the good record.

They have added to their success by creating routines to score following kick-offs, which has led to a host of first minute goals in the Premier League, particularly when playing at home.

    Southampton 0-3 Tottenham

One of the world's great mysteries is why I have had three Southampton players in my fantasy football team for most of the season.

Southampton's defence actually look scared now. Son Heung-min mis-kicks a shot and James Maddison shoots over.

Southampton look shell-shocked. But you have to give credit to Tottenham. They have been very clinical going forward.

Southampton have spent a lot of money in the summer and they have a bloated squad. But they just don't know what their best 11 is. It's a mess.

  13. Enzo Maresca plays cheerleaderpublished at 19:18 Greenwich Mean Time

    Chelsea 0-0 Brentford

    Nizaar Kinsella
    BBC Sport football news reporter

Manager Enzo Maresca is playing cheerleader with Chelsea on top and pushing for the opener.

The Italian has been encouraging supporters to create more of an atmosphere at Stamford Bridge in his recent press conferences.

This stadium has suffered a lull with an ageing local fan base and after several disappointing years.

Brentford, meanwhile, are having to weather the storm but their support is patient as their players seem to be - comfortable with sitting in and soaking up pressure when away from home.

    Southampton 0-3 Tottenham

Kamaldeen Sulemana had seven touches. Completed five of his six passes. I don't think he was hooked for a bad performance per se, just someone had to come off for a defender.

This is the earliest an away team have led 3-0 in a Premier League game since Arsenal against Newcastle in February 2011.

Oh my. Southampton bring on centre-back Nathan Wood for winger Kamaldeen Sulemana. It's tactical and Sulemana doesn't look happy with Russell Martin as he comes off.

  17. 'Embarrassing for Saints fans'published at 19:16 Greenwich Mean Time

    Southampton 0-3 Tottenham

    Lucy Ward
Former Leeds striker on TNT Sports

It's embarrassing for the Southampton supporters. It's just too easy to pass through this defence.

Russell Martin has not got the players to play the way he likes and they have lost all the confidence.

It's not good and it's a painful watch if you are a Southampton fan or even a neutral.
