Guernsey FC came from a goal down to beat fellow relegation strugglers Binfield 2-1 in the Isthmian League.

The Green Lions went a goal down midway through the first half when Ethan Lindo finished well despite Guernsey having the better of the play.

But the islanders levelled early in the second period when Dave Rihoy fired in from outside the 18-yard box.

Ross Allen's cross after some good work found Jack Griffin who scored at the far post with six minutes to go.

Allen had gone close soon after Guernsey's equaliser while Jimmy Bamgbose forced a good save from Jordan Kelly in the Guernsey goal.

The win - Guernsey's first away from home in almost 10 months - lifts them out of the relegation places in Isthmian League South Central.

They have 13 points and move up to 18th place one point ahead of Corinthian Casuals and a further point clear of Metropolitan Police, while Binfield remain bottom on five points.

It was just a third win of the season for the Green Lions as they prepare to Sutton Common Rovers - who they beat on the opening day of the season - on 30 December.
